Default 9th pass ever on the car and I'm stoked! :-)

Finally got my car out to the track here in Vegas. It was a typical hot night with a DA just over 4,000 feet...not the best for sure. The cars been down the track a total of 9 passes and I've been down the track a total of 15 in my entire life. The car has a small cam and a set of ported heads on the stock short block. I have a set of drag radials an literally drove the car to the track and drove it home. The car went a 10.91 @ 128.75 MPH. I know there's a lot of faster vettes out there with the same mods but as a rookie to the drag strip I'm super happy! I'll scan the time slip tomorrow and get it posted but in the mean time here's a GoPro video from in the car. Pretty happy.

Damn nice work sir! What kind of clutch are you running? Also, how much rwhp are you putting down on the dyno? Thanks again

Great job! If people only knew it's not as easy as it looks, especially to run 10's

CONGRATS, great job, GREAT Driving, and with minimal experience is even more impressive.

Nothing like having a legitimate 10 second street legal and street driven C6 Z.

Very healthy! Considering the DA that's really impressive! The clutch looks like it held up for you and the front end popped pretty good on engagement. I wonder if you caught a wee bit of air under those front tires...Nice job-you have a badazz Z06.

That's a good time. I've raced Vegas a number of times, and the DA really slows down the et.

What was your 60 ft time? I would love to know. I watched your video 5 times. You launched right around 5k and your car looked like it HOOKED ugly. I think if you would have eased the clutch out a little more you could have kept the car in the power band and you would have had a 10.7 pass easy, maybe lower. You had the rpm's at 5 then they dropped to 2 real fast. Great great pass. Try easing the clutch out more and you will see better times for sure.

Where do you normally have your RPMs drop down to when you ease the clutch out

It all depends but if you keep the car in the power band the car will fly, take off like crazy. If you launched at 5 and kept it up to 3k or higher the car will feel like a rocket. I have launched my z at 3200 and kept it right at 3200 and the car took off good. It all depends on your clutch. I have a stock one so I don't wanna burn it up just yet.

Pretty nice driving for so little experience. You'll only get better.
I've watched many with more seat time, struggle with a lot less power.

I would guess they are easy going with the roll bar. I go to two local tracks in the Chicago area. First one is a dump in my opinion, and if you run to fast they will tell you to slow down. If you keep running faster than an 11.5 without a roll bar they will kick you out. Second track which is right outside of Rockford ILL is clean prepped and a great track. You can run low tens and they won't kick you off. They are very very flexible.
