Default Rear Cradle Won't Drop

Not sure why I'm having so much trouble dropping the rear cradle.

I have a jack under the trans. Undid the bottoms trans bolts. Loosened all the 4 subframe bolts and the subframe won't move.

I put a small pry bar between the frame and the cradle and it still didn't move.

Am I missing something?

assuming you unbolted upper control arms and the shocks it should drop once you removed the 4 diff mount nuts and 4 cradle nuts

What the other 2 guys said.

I just went through this on the front.

Must undo upper a-arms and unbolt the lower shock mounts otherwise the leaf spring holds everything up.

well rats. of course you would have to do that... the pfadt instructions that came with the tranny mount didn't mention the control arms/shocks so i thought, that perhaps by magic, the rear would just come down without doing the arms/shocks.

Ditto, I discovered that too while trying to install my hinson poly trans mounts. I just used a pry bar to give me enough room to pull the stock mounts out and put the new ones in.

Hate to burst your bubble, but if the whole reason behind doing this was to just install the Pfadt mounts then you didn't need to drop the cradle at all. All you needed to do was unbolt the stock trans mounts and jack up the transmission and differential. It's tight but there's definitely enough clearance in there to swap them out.
