Default LMR in Houston

I have followed this forum for many years and decided to join. I don't usually post on forums but I thought that this was a good a time as any.

I took my Z to LMR here in Houston to have ARH long tubes, Callaway CAI and heads reworked. LMR did their magic on the heads with their own CNC program, SS exhaust, bronze guides and Titanium retainers.

Base pull was 437/441. The factory tune was way too lean. After mods 538/470. Hats off to all of the LMR group and their great work.

That is what the Dyno sheet says. We were expecting around 500rwhp with just the long tubes CAI and tune. Those new heads must flow like a *****..

Congrats. You make more power than some people with exact same type of work along with a Torquer.

If it was a friendly dyno it would have showed up on the base line pull, no?

Wow, that is impressive.

I may have overlooked it, but is that SAE on a Dynojet with the smoothing at 5?

Congrats.

Don't know if it was a friendly dyno or not, CF: STD and Smoothing 5 on both baseline and final pull. As far as I am concerned these are only numbers and not for bragging rights or anything else.

My only reason for posting at all was to send out a big Kudo to LMR for the great work they did on my Z.

And to the poster that asked about price it was a little over 7K.

I have had them do some small stuff for me as well. They are a great shop.

Glad you are enjoying your new mods! Dyno numbers are inflated but that's ok a few 1/4 mile passes will let you know where you stand at that's probably about a 495 rwhp car.

After you go to track let us all know what your MPH is. That will give us a better look at what car really puts down. If your mph is 124-126 then not 530. If you are putting down 129-130 car is making power. When you go let us know what you did.

Silverado you are correct sir, numbers are just numbers.

I just got a call from LMR from the tech who actually tuned the car stating that the shop manager had given me the wrong dyno sheet. The actual numbers were 502/450 which was more in line with what I had expected. LMR is a standup shop that will get my business in the future.
