Pros; fast at hel, permanent smile for the driver.
Cons; none

Overall a Z06 is pretty easy to maintain and pretty reliable. The dry sump requires a little more oil and the tires are more expensive than your average car. Other than those two a Z is doesn't cost much more to own unless you get bitten by the mod bug lol. The LS7's reliability has been questioned but has proved to be a solid engine for the majority. A Z06 is a great car, drive one and you will love it.

The pros are too many to list.
The cons are almost non existent.
Honestly, its an expensive car anywhere from $40K-$90K depending on which year and model you get. When most people look for a car, their budget is $15-25K. Other than that, its very reliable, not bad on gas, comes stock with all the tech you could ask for, and has a low maintenance/cost of ownership. Oil changes are easy, tranny/diff and other fluids are cheap and easy. Brakes and tires last for a very long time. The car is well made and wont fall apart on you on the hwy etc. etc. etc. Its really the best value for stock performance right now on the market in my opinion. Throw a mild cam and tune on her and shell turn into a whole new animal. I could go on and on. Good luck if you decide to purchase one.

Melting Slicks
It's the cheapest high powered sports car to own. I guess the cons would be the valve issue if you are out of warranty and the cost of tires? That's about it.

I usually get bored with newer Corvettes. Not so with this animal. It's fast as hell and handles even better. You will not be able to wipe the smile off your face I've been driving Corvettes for 42 years. This is the fastest and most reliable Corvette I have ever owned. Just find a nice unmolested Z06 and enjoy it.

Do yourself a favor. While the Z06 is a fantastic ride, read these forums, a LOT. Check out the valve/guide failure threads then make your decision.

Only flaw I can find is with the exhaust valves/guides.. Replace the exhaust valves with some SS valves and ride out. With a tune and a vararam, I've beat an Audi R8, 996, GTS viper and a Ford GT. Tried to get a guy in an mclaren MP412C to race once, but he didn't want to play. Not saying I would have won, but I never expected to beat an R8, the modified 996, or that GT, but I did. I had the guy with the viper on my dyno, so I figured I would beat em. A lot is in the driver, I'm not the best, but I do ok. I missed a gear today (4th) for the first time in a LONG time and I was pissed with myself... Guess it's time to change the clutch fluid
Got some GoPro vids of it, so.... It hard to argue with videos
