Default Looks what the UPS man brought today :)

Look what the nice UPS man brought today. New custom heads with only top notch parts for my 2007 Z06 from Texas Speed & Performance. My valve train is not noisy at all but this is (cheaper) insurance.

Installation planned for Thursday.

Good to see someone else taking steps to protect themselves from the LS7 valve issue.

If we keep going like this, pretty soon we'll have this whole thing licked.

At least in here anyway.

Every car which has it's heads fixed, is another car which is out of the running for the broken stock exhaust valve club.

So yours in one that we KNOW won't be described in here in a post showing pics of a windowed block, as being the next example of GM's LS7 valve train mess.

Congrats on the new heads and let us know how the install comes out.

Hey Andy
They look beautiful!!! You have the part number of the one's you got?
I really want to get a set too. I've already talked to them more than once. Did you get any upgrades for valves or springs? Keep us posted on how the install goes. Good luck.

As far as I can see the part number is PRCLS76B265. I had a longer conversation with TSP and went with whatever they recommended as "bullet proof" in terms of valves and springs. These are not refurbished LS7 heads, but a new casting. I also opted for a little more compression. They came highly recommended, were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Really? Because a bad valve is the ONLY thing that will window a block?

How long have you been working on motors?

Works of art - mechanical precision and craftsmanship are under-appreciated . . . .

Very nice, how long did it take from ordering to receiving?

Also, how much was milled and do you know the expected comp. Ratio you will have?

Thanks

I order mine on the 2/12 and they shipped on 2/20. Alot quicker than the route my buddy went with. He is still waiting on his oem heads to come back from the west coast. But you gotta go where your money will take you...

Woohoo! Sweet! It really is so nice not having to open any of the dropped valve topics anymore.

These type topics have just about replaced those. And it is a welcome change.

Smart move Andy! As with everything you do, you went with the best! You're car will be keeping mine company at Abel!

RichieRich, you guys are getting a bunch of high end rides in there lately! Between just Andy and my ride that's probably $300k+ worth of vette in your shop. Add on the other 10 or so that you had in for service last week when I was there and your probably pushing a mil, mil and a half worth of vettes alone at one time in your shop for service! Not bad for a so called "small town" dealer

Very true. We also have a 2009 ZR1 in here for an engine issue, 2010 modded ZR1 for replacement tires, another couple C6Zs for various repairs (heads on 2 cars and a heads/cam job on another), along with a built trans going in a C5Z, coil overs on a Camaro and various other cars for maintenance.

It's only early March so I'm willing to bet that come May/June we will be packed full of Corvettes again. Good thing we are in the middle of drawing up plans for a remodel and expansion of my Service Dept.

I have always said that my Corvette customers are the reason that I love my job so much. I have so many long time (and new) loyal customers that I get to interact with on a daily basis, along with many more that I have made life long friends with, that I never wake up not wanting to go to work.

RICH
