Heavily camoed C7 Z06 is currently testing at GM's Yuma Proving Grounds !!!!
C6 Z06 owner and CF member Twinger01 just came across a test mule C7 in Tempe, AZ.
THe test mule was a wet sumped LT1, A6 auto, glass roof car.
THe engineer pulled over for Twinger01 to takes some pics and ask a few questions.
The car is one of three car's testing on the streets of Phoenix.....but.......the best news ???
THe driver was on his way to the Yuma proving grounds, where he is apparently meeting up with the other engineers who are currently testing a heavily camoflaged C7 Z06 !!!!!!!!! :roc k:
He wouldn't spill the beans on the engine, or any specifics about the car....but to hear from an actual C7 engineer that the car does in fact exist and is currently testing in Yuma, AZ is enough for me !!!!!
Car that Twinger01 was able to sit in.
p.s. -he said that even the base seats in this test mule are WAY better than our current seats

I know I'm just parroting what other's have said, but you have to see the car in person before you really pass judgement on the rear end.
The car looks bad *** in the flesh, and the rear lights will grow on you, IMHO

Im with ya! I hated on the Panamera for a long time. Then I saw one in person and I had to have it. It grew on me big time. Hopefully the C7 will as well.

Under the indoor lights of the intro, I didn't have a problem with the rear of the car.
But in outdoor light, it will indeed take a while to get used to.
I do get a kick out of those awaiting the next Z06 though.
Based on what GM has done with this one, this valve mess, blown engines for years, and then their early September statement, followed by this last utter insult, a few days ago in the form of a TSB, essentially stating that the engine problems in these cars is an internet fabrication, I'm about as apathetic as I can get when it comes to the C7 Z06. I honestly could not care any less.

You have a good point there. I love the new one and would only buy a Z version, but I too am disappointed in how GM has handled this fiasco. They really should of at least allowed owners to purchase a full GMPP for an unmodified motor. Or put it in writing they would replace a motor that is unmodified should it go. Something anyway would have been nice.

The rear is growing on me of the normal C7... it's change folks, people said the same thing when the pop up head lights disappeared at the release of the C6 and everyone hated it... just will take time to get used to

You're correct......by the time it makes it to market, who knows what the official designation will be.
The fact that it's testing right now, in Yuma, is the exciting part
