Default Oil Life Monitor

I have a 06 Z06. I recently took the car to the dealer and replaced a ECM module various sensors as I had a check engine light reocurring. When I picked up the car I noticed the oil life monitor was showing 15%down from 85%. I have only 1100 miles on this oil change. Apparently during the process of installing the ECM module and resetting the various codes in the electronics this caused the oil life monitor to change. I know they started the car many times for code resetting and check out. What to do... do I reset and do the oil change at 30% or just do oil change and reset like normal.

Thanks

KS

Since you know how many miles since the last oil change, I would change the oil based on miles at around 4,000 miles (or 3,000 if you are more comfortable with that) rather than go by the monitor. No need to do an oil change now. Then you can reset the monitor and go by that for the next oil change.

Reset; you probably used about 10% after 1100 miles.

I change my oil at 50% on the DIC and that is usually near 5000 miles, including a few events. Oil tests show much oil life left even then.
