Default Bridgestone RFTs in the rain

Took a long trip in the Z this past weekend and hit solid (and heavy) rain for almost two hours. Before encountering the rain, I had the cruise set on 75. When the rain hit, I backed down to 60, but slowly edged up until I was back to 75. I must say that i was impressed; nothing less than solid traction with zero pucker factor. I have about 4k on the tires and I never would have attempted that on the OEM Goodyears. Caveat: I would never do this if there is standing water on the road surface.

It would be best to never ever have the cruise control on during the rain.
