I use rubber hockey pucks and an aluminum jack from a late 90's Mercedes E Class. It weighs 3#, and has a 2.75" collapsed height and is approximately 14" long.

I bought a Big Red 1.5 Ton Racing Jack at PepBoys 5 years ago, and I use rubber hockey pucks. I use this setup to swap my street wheels and race wheels.

My Omega low profile jack from Northern Hydraulics worked well and would reach the front and rear crossmembers no problem, but it died after a few years. I bit the bullet and bought a real jack - the AC Hydraulics DK13HLQ. Pelican Parts sells them.

This is a very high quality piece and I expect it to last for many years.

Any low profile floor jack should be fine, as I got mine from Harbor Frieght tools. Another forum member gave me a rectangular BMW lifting puck, and works fine. I also have a couple AC/Delco low scissor jacks for track days, that seem quite popular. Have the same 3/4" drive as the lug nuts, so can see why. Not sure what you're doing, but have the track wheel swap thing down pretty good. Walk around the car first with a large drive wrench, and break the lugs loose. One wheel at a time, swap wheels with a cordless drill, then walk around with a torque wrench. Takes about 1/2 hour. Also, have a hose in the basement over a floor drain for wheel clean up. Really don't bother cleaning wheels any other way. Also, store my track wheels in Kurgo Tire Totes. And yes, these do fit rear ZO6 325/19's(barely). Nice to have, especially if you're transporting dirty tires in the car.

That's where I got mine; part number is in the pic a few posts above. It will also reach the front crossmembers with a modified Summit beam adapter on the cradle, if I run the car up on two 2x12's first (giving an added 3" of ground clearance under the splitter).

Unfortunately the beam adapter won't really attach to the Harbor Freight jack (there is a cross bolt in the way), so it just sits in the jack cradle with the locator pin centering it.

If you are going to do a lot of swapping, the Sears 19.3V LiIon battery powered Impact Wrench is on sale now and is great.

I use a 25" 4x4 under the crossmenber to lift the back.

Actually, find changing one wheel at a time, works fine. I have a four post lift in my garage for tougher stuff. As for battery powered tools, try and keep the amount I own, down to just a couple. Lets face it, battery's suck, and seems I'm always replacing them. This is coming from a guy that knows electronics/soldering, and rebuild battery packs myself. I currently have a cordless drill and car vac. Plenty for me.

American Forge & Foundry Model 200T - Low Profile 2 Ton and a US General Aluminum Racing Jack 1.5 Ton (Harbor Freight). Made the jacking pucks with hockey pucks and course threaded eyebolts from HD.

Harbor freight aluminum jack and no pucks. The padded cup fits the cutouts in the bodywork perfectly.

I like Southern Car Parts plastic jacking pucks for $50, which are actually BMW spec, but they're low-profile, lightweight, & I leave them in all the time in case I need it lifted at a shop.
I'll likely get the Harbor freight low-profile jack & 4 jackstands to help my future oil changes, etc.

Their website shows the $49.99 ones as vulcanized rubber, are those the ones you use, or, are they in fact the $42.99 plastic ones (which cannot be left in place on the Z06, according to their website).

Ahhh Viz, bad info on my part, sorry. I bought the $42.99 plastic ones, as they all stay in place on the steel frame GS. There's even room for 1/4" foam gasket.

I thought I'd read that 3 of these will stay in place on the Z06 aluminum frame, but one (rear?) of the Aluminum holes' (thicker alum. plate) means the puck won't stay clipped in..just not sure, sorry.

Perhaps none of these will stay clipped in, but ask the CF Z06 collective if anyone's found a workaround, or if SCP has any advice.

To contribute to the thread I use the thick aluminum pucks and my jack is a cheapy aluminum low profile job from autozone. My car's lowered and the jack can slip right under the pucks with no problem.. it even just barely clears the rear sway with a 2x4 on it to get to the cross member.
