Default Low oil pressure at idle

My '08 Z06 oil pressure at idle when fully warmed up is 13-19. I live in FL so outside temps are usually 90+ during summer. Level seems fine and no warning lights are on. Should I take it in to the dealer ? I believe normal range is 20-80 depending on conditions. Will they even care if there is no light on?

13-19 is not good. I wouldn't start it up anymore until I got it checked out.

What oil are you using? 5w30 M1?

I'm using 5w40 Rotella T6 and I'm hitting 40 psi at 200deg oil temp. I believe you're still (technically) within spec so I don't know if GM would do anything, but it does sound low.

What's your high rpm pressure?

Running 5-30 m1

Both idle and high RPM pressures seem low. Lowest idle I've seen was 27 on a 100 degree day idling in traffic.

That's worrisome. Time to see your dealer. Good luck with it.

HOT idle (210*) is 30 psi with Mobil1 0w40. Its been that way since new, motor has 13K on it now. I would assume and know from my first motor that will be lower with Mobil1 5w30. How much lower ?????

Cars very with heat and conditions. If its been like that for a little while it would have already been a problem. I would suggest a thicker oil for sure

I experienced similar low pressures when I first got my car in late 2005. The dealer said it was normal per the shop manual. Here is what your dealer will show you when you go in to have this checked. I thought these were shockingly low acceptable pressures and may be contributors to the valve dropping situation.

even at freeway speed the engine rpm's are very low probably about 2k, so in your case having 50psi cruising is very good...

i know thats what they will show you, hopefully not. you can throw that in the garbage because if these cars have anything lower than 22-23 psi you can bet the future for that engine will not be good. ill even step it up a bit and say 25psi is even a bit low. i have a question did this car your talking about ever have a problem? im gonna say yes but i hope not. i havnt seen one of these live very long with low oil pressure, not one......sad

My 2011 Z06 idles at 28 psi when warm and I've seen it as low as 26 it has less than 4000 miles on it and the oil (mobile 1 5W 30) has less than 500 miles on it.
