Default Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position review

Let me just get this out of the way. These tires are FANTASTIC!!!

I just replaced my OEM Goodyears at 8086 miles. While I knew they were bad, I didn't expect such immediate feedback from the new tires. The NVH from the 4 year old Goodyears is GONE! These tires ride better, are MUCH quieter, and even with less than 5 miles on them have more traction than my 4 year old Goodyears had. I can only imagine how much better the traction will be once I have the mold release agent worn off.

This is the second car I have become disenchanted with Goodyears with, and no the other car was a Nissan Murano. I think I may just swear off Goodyears forever.

4 of us with C6 Z06s went to the 1/4 mile track this past Saturday....2 had Nitto Invos, 1 had stock GY runflats, and the other had the B-Stones. Which one of us had the lowest times???

The Bridgestones....

That's assuming all four drivers were equally good.

They are also great in the rain. I got caught in some serious rain this weekend and the car felt great, no skittishness or hydroplaning. I could even give it moderate throttle and it wouldn't spin the tires. I have 16k miles on the tires and have plenty of tread left.

Default bridgestones - yes

Much better than stock, unbelievably better. Much less expensive than Michelins. Easy choice for me...

Where are you guys getting the Bridgestones? I'm I'm the market and had settled on the Invos only because I can't find the Bridgestones anywhere. Thanks.

Got mine at Tire Rack. My local Sears said they could have gotten them also.

Here you go...www.tirerack.com

$400 more bucks and you've got the Mich. PS2 ZPs. Excellent all around tire, although I have no experience with the B'stones so I can't compare, just offer positive experience with the Michy's...

I purchased my Bridgestones from a local Bridgestone/Firestone tire dealer and the out the door price of $1567(tires, tax, mount & balance) was cheaper then just the tires alone from the online dealers.

Yes.

And, FYI, the rear tires don't look "skinny" (a common complaint regarding the PS2 ZP's)

Bridgestone specifically designed and tested this tire combo for the Z06.

Like the feedback on these and the Super Sports. Like the idea of going up to 285/345 in Super Sports, but also like the idea of a good tire like the Bridgestones that retain the run flat option. Decisions, decisions...

I bought them for front rims, but ended selling car and I have no use for them. Brand new, not even mounted, with stickers. Stored for almost 2 years in my basement. Production 2008
Probably too wide for stock C6 fronts, but aftermarket or Z06 rims are good
PM me if interested

I also was caught in a downpour and the BS gave me more confidence that the GY stockers.

I should have noted that I purchased the tires in April, 2011. But still a good price. I also had him quote a set of Michelin PS2 ZP's and they were $2400 out the door. Didn't really understand his very low price on the Bridgestones yet his very high price on the Michelins.

We have tons of Bridgestone dealer's around here.
