2nd tip installed today
The purple is the ceramic grease I used to adjust the tip.

I think they look incredible!

I'm all for it! I've been thinking about doing the same thing for some time now. At least for my car.

I was bored...

Even copied my license plate and garage

Now that's some photoshopping!

Now I don't have to make the other two.

Well done! Now that we can see the whole effect I definitely like those way better than the Akra tips.

We'll have the other two done by Wednesday. Each one takes curing at 375F for 9 hours. The special carbon fiber is the same material used on the Pratt and Miller Daytona coil covers. Wish I could show them to you, but they are not ours to show off.

We do have permission though to make the C6.RS Carbon radiator bezel:

The mold for this is at our carbon fiber shop, and has been sitting there in a back room unused. They have now given us permission to use the mold for the C6 Corvette crowd. Only one made at a time. 1 in stock:

Straighter picture. I must be getting old. What looks like a straight shot ends up at about 2 degrees off every time. Thanks for the Photoshop job!

I wanted to give people a preview while you worked on the other two. I was also curious about what they would look like on my car so...

How will they handle the heat since they are directly connected to the pipe (unlike Akrapovic). Would these work on stock Z06 mufflers?

The are high heat carbon fiber (375F-400F) They bake for 9 hours at 375F.

I took the temp at idle for 15 minutes on a 36F degree day-56F at the carbon fiber.

No worries at all. They will fit 2.55" o.d. tips.

Nice work Jim.

I've been kicking around a couple of different exhausts for my ZR1 but could never get excited about the Akrapovic due to the tips. I'll do a little price shopping for a set of slip ons, and may need to take you up on a set. These make all the difference for me...

Wow, is that the best looking DP or what? The more I see of it the better I like it. Root for me to win the lottery so I can put one on the street. I would order a set of tips right now but I don't even have the mufflers yet

They are right in between the stock 88.9mm tips and the Akrapovic 125mm tips at 102mm.

They are actually the same size as 90% of the aftermarket SS tips.

Stuck the last two on yesterday. Not perfectly lined up yet, but not bonded either:

First and last 4 for a while. We are not going to be making these any time soon. Too many other carbon fiber products to get out, and really not enough interest for us to make more molds required for production.

Saved 5.4 lbs vs. the Akrapovic Titanium 5" tips.

Not enough interest to keep the molds in our shop. we could reprice them and quote them next week.

Still on our car and not yellow. Two flew off during racing so we now use lightweight clamps.
