*Bolt-on C6Z cracks the 9 second barrier*
Congrats to Gary Hillen for achieving his main goal of running a 9 second pass. I don't have any details other than 9.97.
Gary: You've had an outstanding year from heads up racing to ET chasing. You made it all happen.
It's great to see all that hard work, R&D, ingenuity, and perseverence pay off. And it's amazing how well you handled everything along the way; with style. I'm sure everyone appreciates all the help you've given out to others this year and years past. I certainly do. Thanks for showing us how fast these cars really are and thanks for taking me along for the ride!

As I guaranteed he would do.
Can't wait for the video. Do you have the actual e.t. and trap speed?
Way to go Gary!!!

I felt fortunate to witness Gary's 9.97 pass.
To be sure, it was a driving masterpiece culminating a campaign of several years, characterized by Gary and his team sweating all the details.
Right set-up, good (not perfect) conditions, and brilliant driving.

Amazing driving to be sure. Your witnessing the event will lay all naysayers to bed.

But we'll see the video of it soon enough and I'm just very happy that all of that hard work/attention to detail finally paid off.

This was obviously just a matter of time and the most OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT of drag racing a Modern Vette (with its engine internally untouched and stock), that I have seen on the CorvetteForum since I've been a member about the last 10.5 years.
CONGRATS my friend, simply incredible car, dedication and perseverance, and even more incredible driving!!!!!
