P2837 (shift fork B) solenoid inside the tranny was not sensing that it was in 4th gear. whenever i would decel with the transmission in manual mode, the rpms would drop to idle and raise back up. the car went into safe mode and i limped it to the dealer. they cleared the codes and car ran fine. then a week later it did it again. Dealer contacted GT-R techline, and made the decision to replace the transmission. the tranny arrived in just a few days and it's pretty much a plug and play unit. the unit houses the tranny, clutches, and rear diff. Nissan was great during the whole process. The issue has been resolved and the car runs flawless. The buyer I had wasn't approved for the amount he requested so the car is back on the market.
White Premium 2012 GT-R with floor mats and back up camera. 2800 miles. build date 6/11 in-service date 9/11 $85k.

don't second guess. This car is amazing. I just happened to get one that had a tranny issue unrelated to all the other tranny issues you hear from the previous year models. there are almost 30 improvements on the 2012 model alone. i'm still waiting for someone to PM me about the changes for the 2013 Z06

I'm worried about the transmission obviously, but I'm more concerned with the fact that the car may be boring. Plus I can't leave anything stock, which mean the warranty is gone....and then we're back to the transmission issue. Yikes. $20k is a lot.

well i can assure you my tranny works fine now lol. if you change the downpipes/turbos or add an accessport your warranty is pretty much toast, just like any corvette or other car. my car has a midpipe and hiflow filters. i'm pretty confident it's around 560 crank. so back to topic, who can PM me info on the 2013 corvette ?

I know your not getting much feedback to your original question, but I'm curious if you considered a lightly used ZR1. Seems like the pricing would be close to that of a 2013 Z06. I love my Z but I think my next fun car will be a gently used ZR1. Marc L.

I just ordered my 2013 late in July. The order was processed, I have the order number and it's being queued for production. Just the base 1LZ with no other options. Tried to keep it as affordable as possible. Downloaded the 2012 manual to pour over so I'd be totally familiar with it when it's finally delivered. It'll be my first Corvette ever. Would've loved the ZR1, but, it was out of my price range. Really looking forward to it. I needed a suitable replacement for my 25 year old modified iroc-z.
