Bolt-On C6Z 10.04 at 137.44
Here's a quick update from yesterday. Andrew(94z28racecar) saw a new PB both in 60' and ET; however, we have more to extract from his setup. Great job driving.
Thanks to Kyle(Stonabones69) and Andrew, I was able to finish the day. On the very first launch, we broke the right side axle near the wheel bearing. Kyle had graciously gave me one of his spares and Andrew replaced it; albeit, it was difficult due to the location of the break. Thanks a lot guys.
BTW- It's nice to know that the RPM Transmissions rear held and did not give way.
We switched to a DR that Mark(Tirecraft) that he mounted for me the day before plus replaced a bad front wheel bearing on my truck. You da man. You made it possible for me to run and more importantly make it there safely.
Matty from Tune Time has been heavily assisting over the last half year making sure things were running right. Thanks.
Troy Nikola helped out late Thursday night verifying some tune parameters to prevent a possible issue. Thanks.
Since we have not ran DRs in years as an ET chasing tire, Robz remotely figured out my suspension via cell phone. Thanks as always. Ranger and Andrew provided a lot of good feedback. Thanks.
Here is the breakdown of two timeslips. The car has the number in it but we need the driver mod. We ran out of time last night or we may have seen a very different timeslip. (We made 6 total passes if you include the broken axle launch.)
1.552---4.301---6.562---108.50---8.499---10.128---138.16
1.450---4.181---6.458---107.39---8.409---10.046---137.44
Note: Added Halltech MF 103 to setup.

lolll fixed !!!
Gary, it was amazing to look the split time from 660' to 1320' !!!
You are flying !!! My best over was 3.640 vs you'rs seems to be 3.566.
The first slpit 60' to 660' was mostly the same (5.025 vs 5.008)
I have to found some trick in my tune and my aerodynamics to get more acceleration on that last section !!!
What was the DA and the weather in general ?
Close to be in the 9.9x soon !!! It is a hard job Congrats
Thank you

The Super Bee MF103 should bee pulling harder from 5500 to redline.

If he had launched with a 1.382 60' like his previous best that would have shaved off .068 more. My calculations are 9.978 with the same 60ft as before, and the better 660' to 1320'. i.e. the potential for a 9 second pass is there now.
Gary, what do you think? After the axle break, did you launch differently?

Amazing. Congrats again Gary.
Not yet, but he's workin' on it.
It is the undisputed quickest/fastest stock internals/bolt ons only NA C6 for sure but there are a couple of other NA (heads & cam, modified internals etc.) C6s that have gone 9.9x and of course a C6 ZR1 that has gone 9s with just bolt ons.

For sure, 9.9x is close to happen. But what I would mean, is that the gain form 660' to 1320' are more harder to get. At 3.566 and 3.588 , delta, show some serious power who are put to the ground as well. Because the driver error are less than the first 660' where the 3 shift happen. We shift the 4th gear near or at the 660' mark and the last part of the run, this is the engine power who do the job in my humble opinion.

In my humble opinion the Super Bee MF103 change provided that delta, but his best 660' to 1320' was a 3.63 second delta on the last record pass with our old Killer Bee II intake and a best of 3.566 yesterday (.064 better than the previous record). Gary reminded me of the DA and another factor he disclosed to me in Private that may have contributed to the 660' to 1320'. Any way you look at it, the results now appear to be 9.9s in the front view.
I thought maybe the shift was involved, but I forgot about the 4.10s
Again, Super Congrats Gary. I stayed up late last night waiting for this thread.

Simply mind blowing , GREAT DRIVING Gary, and incredible machine!
Heck, people should just duplicate Gary's bolt on set-up with the RPM 4.10 gears, and save thousands of dollars vs. doing a full effort heads/cam build up or supercharger set-up, as his car is just about quicker than any heads/cam or supercharged Z out there down the 1/4 mile, all about putting that power down to the ground, and his trap speeds are right there aso.
Simply amazing what a stock untouched LS7 engine is capable of with right combo of bolt on parts and tune, with an expert driver behind the wheel!

I can understand the reasons others spend soo much money to try and do his time but under a different condition.

Just remember, not everybody car is setup like Garry's and is as light as Gary's. Do you really believe a C6 Z06 with only bolton's will do what this or a few others are doing, like you said 4.10 gears, how many guys want to drive up the highway with 4.10, then transmission ratio and how about the unbolton parts that was removed.
I can understand the reasons others spend soo much money to try and do his time but under a different condition.

Congrats on the run and i am sure a nine second time pass will come soon. I built GTO for a friend that has the bolt on record for a 5.7 and it takes a lot. Good work.
Second, anyone that is worried about gas mileage in a zo6 should be shot and maybe sould have bought a hybrid.
