Michael,
Hope to see you down there. I'll be at the event, but for the first time in 5 years, I won't be running in it.
Just finishing up a frame-off resto-modding a '68 GTO convertible. I'm going to use the drive down there and back in the old goat as a good break-in road trip for the rig.
I ran my stock ZR down there last October and ran my Katech Stage 1 Z-06 down there in previous years. It's a blast. You'll have a great time.
Hopefully the old goat will make it down there and back ok. It actually gets done next week, so I'll have the opp to drive it a bit and shake out any bugs from the resto before heading to the mile.
I'll track you down at the event. Would be great to meet you and put face to name of a fellow CF brethren.

I am taking my bone stock Red ZR1 #638. I ran last May and could only get it up to 171 with the heat and high winds. I hope to get in the 180s, but I strongly doubt a stock ZR1 will get over that. Sounds like with the mods you have, you will be pushing 200, so will be fun to see how it goes.

If I remember right, that May event was pretty brutal on conditions. I ran the October event last year in my stock ZR and hit 180+ mph.
Here's to better conditions for all you guys this time.

I ended up not going - canceled last Monday when the Rangers made it to the World Series and I had tickets. Will have to try again next spring - no telling when the Rangers would be back in the series and hopefully are going to win it this week.

Weather conditions were not good for the whole event. A lot of cars ran slower than they should have. A few guys I talked to didn't feel all that confident in pushing their cars 100% in those conditions.
I know a LMR Camaro ran 245mph but I guess the word was it could have gone faster!
