Regarding the seats comments, sure they leave a lot to be desired but using one of these helps:

There's nothing in a Z06 that would ever warrant it being $150 (twice the price of a base C6.) Nothing. Heck, there's nothing in a ZR1 that warrants it, either, besides exclusivity and that wonderful wheeeeeeee factor.
The C6 Z06 was/is GM's first real step in getting the Corvette off of the "fat fifty-year-old with a midlife crisis and a second childhood" routine. The ZR1 plays back into it again, though, with the price really putting it up there.
To whine about the nav or the seats, or the this or that, will only result in an increase in price
if GM supplied special seats at $1k or more per car - still, not everyone would like them.
GM has stated that the reason they don't fix the current seats is the cost of all the crash testing they'd have to do to certify the new seats. That's fair. But for the C7 they can do it right from the start and provide their "halo car" with proper performance seating.

The drag was nice and all but did anyone read the whole article? This is my favorite quote...
"Let's get this out of the way right now: The Z06 decimated the competition around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The devilish Chevrolet, which showed up with 666 miles on the odometer, was more than a second faster around the track than the second-place Ferrari 458 Italia, and faster still than every other contender. No car was even close to the time laid down by the LS7-engined monster, despite the fact that the Fezza, the Lexus, the Audi, the Mercedes, and the Nissan all packed more horsepower."

Its not about AWD, the benz nor the italia is AWD, its about HP, if the Z06 had at least 30 more hp, it would of atleast came in 2nd place. 1st with a better launch. The Z06 needs more power!

I understand but my point was its not a car to win drag races in. Sure its fast but its hard to launch without spinning. Its true colors come thru on the roadcourse.

IMO, it was more about traction. the Z still has a very good power to weight ratio when compared with the competition.
