[Z06] Motor Trend - Hot Lap! 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition

Guys if you want the 2011-2012 z06/zr1 setup, go out and get the "muffler mod" done...it seals off the perforated pipe inside the muffler (which makes it louder when open, same when closed), and buy a x-pipe. Personally, I kept the h-pipe because I'm a fan of a deep muscle car sound and like the exhaust burble on decel, which I've read you get more of with a h-pipe. The new zr1/z06 mufflers already have a solid pipe where yours is perforated. After the muffler mod the only difference would be perforations in the exhaust tips, which is supposed to take the sting off a bit and quiet things down...I prefer the muffler mod. Hope this helps. Muffler mod is about $250, new catbacks are around $900 used.
