[Z06] Are we faster then the new CTS V?

Great question!!!! I know the z06 will beat a cts-v in the 1/4 but i would like to know by how much. I have a 2013 427 Convertible and my friend has a 2011 cts-v coupe with auto. 1/4 times are all over the place on the c6 z06, iv seen from 11.3-12.2 most show around 11.7. For the ctsv i see from 12.-12.3. The Z wins unless u miss a shift and can't find the gear on your second try lol. . With that said if the Two cars race from 45mph to 125mph the caddy will get smoked. I think the cts-v is very fast for what it is just not a z06. I Noticed below someone stated the c6 GS and the ctsv is a even or close race in the 1/4, i think the cts-v with beat a base stock c6 in the 1/4 thats my option but could be wrong. Im guessing the z06 will win by 3-4 cars over the cts-v

The LS2-LS3 cars are about the same. You probably need to have actually raced your car to do low 12s in a C5z tho, where an a/t Caddy just stomps on the gas and does it but power to weight this is a better comparo. I don't think you need to be gifted to do 12.0 in a C6Z so it is easily the faster car but the thing doesn't drive itself. Also if you are on aging runflats like me it isn't the same machine any more.

I had an anti-race with a C6Z06 recently. I am totally disinterested in street racing, as was the Z driver. The Z was in the right lane at the light and had to merge into my lane. I took off in my usual way...slowly. The Z was neck & neck at about 30 mph. I was in 5th gear at 45 and the Z was stll alongside. I slowed enough to allow the Z to merge safely. Must have been very disappointing to all those that were behind and expected more.

I don't think that you slowed down, could have been your slow rowing into 6th gear @ 46MPH that allowed the Z to walk you!

I had a 873RWHP single Turbo Cobra (322CI Big Bore/Stroker) a few years back that idled like a stock car and pulled like a freight train, the area under the curve was insane! I could melt my 315 MT Drag Radials on command pretty much on any gear!

Your numbers dont make any sense at all.
Something wrong with the mph you re posting .No one runs low tens at only 103 mph.Thats more in line with a 13.8 second run.
