blackout tail-lights on VR Z ?
I've got a stock 2009 VR Z with tint and chrome spyders and am thinking about black out rear tail lights. What do you guys think, is this a worthwhile appearance upgrade ? One issue I've had with red vettes is the lack of contrast with the lights and body color that I love so much with the grey, silver, yellow, and blue cars. I don't want the car to look too "ghetto", but I'm OK with a little "mean".
Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
PS: for those who recommend it, what kits are best ?

I was behind a C6 with blackout tail lights in West Palm Beach. He hit the brakes and I never seen the brake lights come on. Lucky for him, I do not tailgate.
I did not like the lack of contrast on my red C6 so I put these louvres on the tail lights. To each his own

I'm had this same dilemma last summer...whether or not to pull the trigger on the blackout tails with my Victory Red Z. I came to the conclusion that I would be breaking up a matching, clean combination with the red tails, red parking lights, red car. It's uniform, and if I put the blackout kit on, I'd be breaking that uniformity. I think that is one of the reasons why so many black Z's use the blackout kits, so it looks uniform and stealthy. If I had any other color, especially orange or yellow, I would most certainly do that because the red lights don't match orange/yellow paint (not hating those colored cars at all). This doesn't mean that I won't do it eventually, I'm still thinking about pulling the trigger. I'm def. getting rid of the ugly amber parking lights in the front though, the orange and red don't match whatsoever. Hope this helps.
