Default NEW Vette-Air E85 Macho DYNO results…enter at your own risk!!!

I have been on a cam dyno and street testing tear for the last four months and in doing so; I’ve discovered two new cams and revised two other existing cams.

This latest E85 Macho set up testing has taken my car to whole new power levels, levels I honestly thought was not possible. The hidden potential of these LS7 motors continues to amaze me.

My new set up consist of the following:
Revised Widow cam/ NW 102 TB/ Vette-Air spec’d WCCH high CR heads/Killer Bee II/Stage II ported FAST intake kit w/Siemens 80# injectors/ Vette-Air scoop/ARH w/o cats/ 160* t-stat and Katech coil relocation kit.

Additional variables to the above are: fueling experimentation [winter blend E85] which means E70 and more precise tuning which is very crucial for this level due to lower octane availability. As some of you know, I’ve been experimenting with mixes of E70 and Torco, which change tuning approach to some degree. Soon I will try pure ethanol and straight racing fuel…more to come!!!

We installed the revised cam on Sunday, I street tuned it that same evening and dyno tuned it last night, below are the results after my usual Carlos style dyno thrashing: Oh yeah, I’m still speechless. Could this be thus far the highest dyno ALL N/A E85 H/C Z06 ever? Dyno results are cool and I learned a ton but now its track time as soon as the weather cooperates.

I attribute these amazing results to all the tuning learning I gained during these cam swapping/testing marathons along with the implementation of Torco with E70 and also the nice cold & breezy 40* to 45* inside the shop temps. Chemical testing is now helping me achieve and recognized new and perhaps insane power levels and will continue to test in this manner…hello E90, E98 and E100.

And here is the best part, this entire learning can and will be passed on to you whenever you allow me to help you get there either with the revised Widow, Macho, Panther or Mamba.

Feel free to call me direct for pricing and additional details.

Thanks,
Carlos

Thank you Mr. Punshr TA

Call me up amigo and lets talk. If you like, all units can be shipped to your door steps and I can even help you tune it...remotely too!

I have over 400 dyno testing passes on my personal C6Z alone; I think I remember a few things

Thanks,
Carlos

670 is insane!!!

The other passes [between 47 and 49] were 662 and 665. Along with that one 670 and many 668 and 667 runs, I would guess my actual HP avg is: 667.6rwhp and TQ 610.3

I'm dying to see what the real ethanol fuel would do. You see, E85 is: 85% ethanol and 15% 87oct. Winter blend is E70: 70% ethanol and 30% 87%oct...YUK!!!

In my case, torco helps a ton so I'm anticipating a nice bump with the real good stuff: straight ethanol mixed with racing fuel thus a 118oct or more fuel If I see more gains with the better fuel, I may remove the heads and shoot for more CR...somewhere in the 14.25 area.

Thanks,
Carlos

Holy WOW awesome work Carlos.

Do you think with 480ci and the right H/C/I you can get 700rwhp with 12:1 compression on 93octane?

Holy SH#T! Seriously bro wheres the bottle hiding? When we get an E85 station near me I will get in touch! I just don't know if I can hold off on boost in the meantime. Messed up though, I don't have a E85 station within 20 miles and I live in corn country Wisconsin!

No bottles on these runs. However, you should see what it does on the 100hp shot

Heck man, I only used the juice when I really need it...mainly for bikes who are also on spray

Thanks,
Carlos

The CR quenched is about 13.3 on this motor. PLUS, the cam revision now promotes slightly better cylinder pressure thus making the CR and better/more octane a marriage made in automotive heaven.

The torque and toe in throttle response is insane! You should hear in person how this thing revs up...almost like a makita drill

Thanks,
Carlos

THat is just purely insane N/A power !!!!!
Me and Evilness are getting together for a HPDE event down at Inde Motorsport Ranch this weekend, so I'll finally get a chance to see his monster in person.

It's going to be interesting to see how much E85 he's going to go thru at the track, as we will have to transport all his E85 supply down to the track (no stations in that area have E85).

Thanks for all the kind words guys.

Cool deal on your event this weekend

I think Mr. Evilness (El Vato) is only pushing between 12.2 to 12.5CR and lets hope he is really running real E85 and not that E70 (winter blend) junk.

I'm not sure if AZ changes to winter blends or not. If so, I would find and purchase a can or two of Torco OR add a gallon or two of C16 race fuel C16 into his tank and beat on it.

Let us know what you think of his set up

Thanks,
Carlos

Looking good Carlos!!! You're making me want to go the E-85 route now. I will talk to you about it when I come get my cam done next month. I want to see that thing in person if it's there. What clutch are you running?

Good question on the ethanol blend.....I'm not sure if AZ changes or not because we really don't get really cold out here even during the winter months. I know of several non-Vette E85 users out here that have cold start issues which suggest AZ doesn't switch to E70.

One of the other participants this weekend ( a local speed shop) is bringing a drum of VP 109 for those who might require it. I don't know if Rudy has a handheld scanner or other tunes for racing gas.

We are expecting sub 40's for the early morning sessions, so it will be interesing to see how Evilness' starting manners will be.

Amazing numbers Carlos...let me know when you plan to visit the track, I wouldn't mind meeting up with you to see how it does, get some tips, etc...and see what all this extra hp is all about. I'm getting anxious since I don't daily my Z any longer, time to unleash this dog.
