Bolt on C6Z06+Monster+MIR rental=10.34@134.60mph
I'm not sure words can describe how exited I am today. I well over exceeded my goals with the car today. A huge thanks to blownlt1&c6z for offering the opportunity to run at MIR today January 6th. I got the car ready last night and at 6:30am I left for my 3hour ride to Maryland International Raceway with the C6Z bolted up and ready to go, skinnies, drag radials mounted and looking good.
I had several runs and needed to brush off the month off with no racing not even driving a stick car. So once that was done I started getting in my groove.
I cut a total of (10) 1.5x 60fts today with my Monster Stage 3 clutch. So to say I was pleased with that and held the shifts was crucial to getting every bit ouf the car today.
BEST EVERYTHING RUN:
60ft-1.501
330ft-4.316

Feels slightly and i mean slightly firmer than stock and drives lock stock. It does get some chatter after alot of stop and go but a few SPIRITED runs down the road and shes smooth as can be. I have around 1500miles on mine and now 50+passes already. I'm a bit of a track *****

Great driving, Fartpipe. Congratulations.
One lesson other C6Z drivers ought to be taking is that MT 275.40.17 is all the tire needed to provide super traction without the excessive footprint of a wider tire that actually makes the car slower. it's always mystifying to see the 335 and 345 going on lesser powered cars.
So thanks too for reiterating that lesson.
I have some questions about the track surface today and the amount of sun; but they can wait.

Thank you Ranger... the tire combination helps greatly IMO. Choosing the correct 4-5yr old Mickey Thompson borrowed from Billy B on the forum here is not easy to make work I agree 100% on the tire sizing. Some people just do over kill and it hurts more than helps.
Ranger curious if you wanna try the shorter tire some time when you come up for another rental or have you experimented with the 275 tire? I've always seen your car with the 315s and my car always traps 1mph lower with those tires consistantly but so many people have had great success with them. Dr.Ron is running them I believe or atleast he was.
As for the track. I was a little worried with prep only to the 330ft mark but as the track was ran on it did come around surprisingly. The last time it was ran on was your rental on Nov 29th. It was bumpy which I found odd. Not sure if its the rubber coming up or just the pavement deteriorating down through. I didnt have anything to check track temps either but the starting line was shaded part of the day wasnt the best thing but we made it work. I was more worried about the top end but the tires let a healthy chirp in every gear maybe a tad more on my 1-2shift which as I talked to Kyle/Blownlt1&c6z I may need to slow down the 1-2shift some cause the car would kick out on the hard 1-2shift on alot of runs which hurt and could feel a rotation on the 2-3shifts aswell sometimes.
I launched at approx 4000-4500rpm on all my faster runs. Shifting right around 6900-7000 by the tach no rev limiter smacking on the shifts that I hear from some guys. I dont hold the pedal to the wood on the shifts but it was tempting to try but i'm sure the track wouldnt have held it. As i get the videos up you will see theres definitely room for improvement from a drivers stand point. Once again I'll say I'm very fortunate to be able to race at a track like MIR with -1006DA was great to race in I really wish everyone could feel the difference it makes to run in great air like that. I'm sure many others out there would be faster too. Should set up one HUGE corvette rental and people can come from as far as they want to

I did pull the front sway bar and passenger seat to be honest and no passenger floor mat. I have small feet lol so I keep the driver floor mat in for better clutch release control and I wear really cool PUMA racing shoes with a Ferrari logo
Partly why I did the weight reduction I did is because I want to see what the difference is due to I'm going to be putting the RSD 5pt bar in the car that adds 45lbs. I have the factory battery etc in the car. My car is a 2LZ with Navi, heat seats, memory all the extra stuff. My car always seems to weigh more than my friends though. My friends 06Z weighs 20lbs less than my car in drag racing form versus his street racing form. LUCKY SOB!!!!

Excellent runs congrats.
To Rangers point about a 275/40/17 being all the drag radial most would need is something I've tried to reiterate time and time again. The shorter diameter helps offset that tall first gear, the taller sidewall allows some flex, its light and as sticky as sub 700 rhwp cars would need.
