My quest for 10's all stock on DR..... Did it!!!
Well after over 30 passes on my Drag radials and finally getting a better grip on the launching technique.... not to mention great weather for south Florida.... I did it!!!
Last night a group of Forum guys went out to PBIR Test and Tune. It was kind of put together last minute as the cold front ended up being colder than originally forecast. I knew this would be my best chance to date to get my 100% stock C6 Z06 on Drag radials into the 10's. To help with my quest, Ranger decided to come down and give me a few tips!!!
After a few bad launch passes, I ran a pair of high 11.0 runs at 128. Then after a pep talk from Ranger.... I went to the line and put up a 1.64 60ft and a 10.92 at 128.31!!!
The DA at the time of the pass was recorded by Ranger at -875. I made a few more passes after with a hope to get into the 10.80's.... but the track seemed to have had enough. All in all one incredible night!!! The fact that I not only ran 10's all stock... but to have several forum members, including Ranger, to witness it..... was perfect!
Here is my time slip

One more note.... there were 4 personal best runs made last night. The combo of great weather and Ranger giving out great advise helped us all get to our goals!! Thanks again Ranger!!

Man... I'm sitting with my nose pressed against the window watching the snow come down. What a great night that would have been! Beautiful run Frank! What size DR's?

Congratulations once again, Frank.
I was crouched about 10 feet from Frank's left rear tire on that 1.64 10.92 128.31. It was a beautiful sight.
Pretty much a perfect pass in the conditions last night. Great launch, perfect throttle motion to WOT, very solid 1-2 shift and shift point, great trap speeds at the 660' and 1320', reflecting excellent performance down-track. So near-perfection in each of the key driver tasks. That comes from embracing the fundamentals principles of fast driving and dedication to achieving very challenging goals.
Great conditions occur at many tracks across the country. But it take superior driving when they occur to join the small group who've run in the 10s bone-stock on drag radials. Well done, Frank.
It was a great evening hanging out with CF members at PBIR.

Now that you've accomplished (and joined the ranks of) the stock 10 second club, you have any plans to perform any mods ?
