Does it run like a ZR1?

Sorry, but it's the same as the Z51 badges and wide body conversions that C6 owners put on their cars. The ZO6 is a great car in it's own right, why would you want to put all of this stuff on it to try and make it something that it is not, a ZR1?
You didn't save any money towards a ZR1, you spent money that is now out the window, because nobody pays up for add-ons, and your car has depreciated even further.

no offense but why? I can see the hood, the front carbon lip and maybe the rear spoiler but the fenders, wheels and side skirts? Its just like the regular C6's doing the Z06 widebody. Good luck, but its just not my cup of tea.

this used to happen all the time on my last forum. sorry but it is a zr1 clone and not a zr1 so you didn't save anything because you do not have a zr1 there. it looks great but it is a clone not a zr1.

Come-on guys ..... I'm pretty sure he knows its not a ZR-1. People have been "cloning" cars since the beginning of auto history.
I mean give me a break ... I take a big block AC Cobra replica ANY DAY.
"You didn't save any money towards a ZR1" ... infers that you think he wants a ZR-1 and settled for this. I don't think thats the case at all. If so, don't you think he'd ponied up the $100.00 for ZR-1 badges?
If anyone is worried about the value of their vette then they bought the wrong car. These cars SUCK on resale if driven. And if you aren't driving them ... then why own them. These cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed. If moding the crap out of it and pissin' money away makes you happy then friggin' do it.
I've been pissing money out the door on cars for decades. And I don't buy a car unless I'm going to drive the **** outta it.
"Depreciated even further" .... LOL you kill me!

I've looked at your pictures more. It does looks great, and you did a really nice job with it, but I still don't agree with doing this to a ZO6 in the first place.
I think the ZR1 is a great car, and I don't want to come off knocking it. But, I really think GM messed up with the front fender design. They look very similar to the last Firebirds.

I think it looks great and I hope you are enjoying it. I wonder if anyone thinks all of those race cars everyone on here likes to talk about think they are really ZO6's. For that matter are they really even C6's. To each his own, but not everyone has the money for a ZO6 or a ZR1, but they do have the money to modify their LS2 and have a need for larger rubber under it. It is not a clone when it does not say ZO6 or ZR1 down the side. Even ZORA's ZL1 was not a REAL ZL1, it was a converted L88. Enjoy your car, I love the silver.

Not for me, as I can see no reason for putting body parts off a ZR1 and putting them onto a Z06 other than appearance reasons.
However it is a nicely done appearance modification.
I would have at least put the Z06 badge back on it though.
C6 Z06 is a great car in it's own right. No need to go to this kind of an effort such as blue calipers and ZR1 wheels, etc to make it look more like a ZR1.
Again though, the work is nicely done. I just don't see the point.
I like the hood, the front splitter (a couple of companies make a carbon fiber splitter for the Z06) and the rear spoiler (the rear spoiler will be on the GT1 Championship Edition C6 and Z06 but in yellow, so this spoiler is not a ZR1 specific part.)
But I can't see the side skirts, the ZR1 wheels, front fender panels and the blue calipers. Thats taking it a bit too far in trying to make it look like a ZR1 IMO

My C6Z06 looks like a C6Z06 and I'm proud of it, It's a hot car. I'm buying a ZR1 and it will stay a ZR1, not a C7 supercar. When the time comes I'll buy the next hot vette

Well, you have a point but I filled in the carbon finders and the car doesn't say ZR1 on it anywhere!! I just like the look.

That is a bad *** customized Corvette. Totaly Awsome! One of a kind!
Love the wheels, love the fenders, mean looking hood!
If you like ZR1 fenders better than Z06 fenders, wheels etc. go for it! nothing wrong with making it just how YOU want it.
Good job not putting a ZR1 emblem on it. How about a Z06+ emblem.
Who will be the first to pop a ZR1 lump in their car?
Are those real ZR1 brakes I see peeking out from behind those wheels????
