First 1/4 pass in the C6Z today
Went to the track and finally made a couple passes with the Z. Here are the details.
2008 Z06, AR Headers X pipe, LPE CAI and a tune. I ran the car on the stock size nitto Invo's at 32 lbs pressure with a 3/4 tank of gas. The air was amazing. Not cold but just perfect. Don't know the exact temp but still most in T-Shirts. This is the first time I have ever run the C6Z on the track.
First Pass Second Pass
R/T .494 485
60' 1.918 2.005
330 5.110 5.115
1/8 7.3653 7.652
MPH 100.48 102.21
1/4 11.627 11.591
MPH 126.81 128.99
I am VERY happy with the car. Considering no tire I was launching fairly softly so I wasn't blowing tires and I am surprised at the MPH which I thought was pretty good. Most of the guys were blown away that the Z was laying down such awesome times almost stock. Many guys with renewed respect for the Z! A little more seat time and a Tire and I'm sure I can do significantly better!
When I can I will try to get the slips scanned and posted.

Thanks Guys. Hoping to go back with a tire soon to see if I can dip into the lower 11's. A little more seat time will also help! These cars are just amazing!

I'm a road course guy, but one of these days I should attempt a few "straight line" runs.
The times tell me just how strong the Z06 really is. Nice driving too.

Many of my buddies are road course guys as well Tom. They joke about how easy it must be to point the car straight and hit the gas. A different buddy came out in his 09 C6 and he was surprised at how hard it is rowing the 6 speed just right etc...trying to launch the car and not to mention hundreds of people watching you. He said its quite different then how people make it out to be. I need to get out on the road course but it just gets really expensive compared to non competitive Drag racing.

Thanks Bobby! Missed you at the track with the crew.
I bought the car with the bolt ons (CAI, headers X pipe and dyno tuned by DTP in Virginia). Never saw a dyno sheet but according to the previous owner it laid down 497 rwhp. I don't care about what dyno #'s are to be honest as what matters is the track. This is where the truth is revealed. I know the car has lots more in her and with 2.0 shorts 129mph the car is making some good steam to get a better ET. I need to dial in my driving/launches and then I will be even happier if I can pick up 2-3 10th's.
