Default Who makes the Highest quality 160 degree LS7 T stat??

After 12K miles and 3hrs of track time last weekend with NASA at PPIR, My T-stat stuck open, then closed on my drive back home from the springs.

A little T-stat Parking lot "muffler mod" and I was back on the road after leaving 2 gal's of 50/50 along side the road.

Radiator is leaking anyhow so It's getting pulled this friday to go back to Ron Davis for repair/replacement.

Are there diff MFG's for these or do they all come from the same source regardless of who you buy them through? ( I.E. stant)

On a side note, My temp sensor took a dump over the weekend too. Luckily I had one of those.

Thanks in advance guys!

I have bought them from Maryland Speed, Byunspeed, SLP and one other place and it seems that they were all Moto Rad Thermostats. Different part numbers at each place but all the same once out of the package!! If you find a good one...please let us know!

thanks guys. Keep the feedback coming. I need to order some clutch parts from Randy at DRM so I'll pick his brain on them too. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

Could just be the luck of the draw for me too. Things that have happenend to me on this car but should not happen include.

1) improperly installed reluctor wheel
2) bad casting in aftermarket oil pan
3) dropped darton liner
4) leaking radiator
5) twin disc clutch doesn't hold hp/trq
