I think that this option enhanced Z06 car should be called the "Grand Sport Z06". I like the symmetrical logic as follows: The GS Z06 would fit in between the base Z06 and the ZR1 in the same fashion as the GS coupe/vert fits between the base coupe/vert and the Z06.

"We have challenges in the States with the Corvette," Welburn said in an interview at the Geneva auto show. "The average age of the customer is really rising."
And:
Welburn admitted the interior has a problem: "The execution, materials selection--it's got to be a much better interior. Our customers desire that."
Fingers crossed. All I ask is that any better seats be able to be retrofitted to my current car!!

Z06 and Zr1 ultra lite models
No power windows, no NAV, no power seats and an A/C delete option.
- and charge a 10k premium for less - like the viper acr.
Do the same for the zr1 - Zr1 ultra lite.

Kona Blue is the same color as the 2010 Ford Mustang Roush 427R.....Check it out..I think it would be the ultimate color for the new Z06 if GM went with it...It is close to the Lemans Blue color currently on the 06 and 07 Z06's....

Like the Boxster Spyder. Problem is vette sales are lowest since 1961. GM needs volume. Do you expect a company run by Obama and the unions to continue to build Corvettes? Do you expect them to make any intelligent decisions? I have zero confidence in them.

Couple things
MB and McL had an argument over the seats in the joint F1 Supercar. MB wanted broader seats and more room inside in accomodate their typical customer's "profile". McL put in narrow seats. One reason that there are no more joint projects for street cars.
You can have broader seats and still have seats that work well. Another narrow seat car is the Audi R8.
The Porsche seat can accomodate a broader "profile".
Second, it is a different market. In the days before the C5, talk about interiors would be met by a blank stare. Corvette must accomodate if it is to stay alive in the C5-C6 market. Whether they can within the price point is another story. Maybe that's why the speculation about an entry level Corvette and an up scale Corvette. If they do this, they will restrict the performance of the entry level car. More business for the aftermarket!

suede inserts should help hold you in place better, but looks like they're only offered on the limited Carbon edition

The Z07 option has always been a suspension/brake upgrade on the Corvette since the "63 models...
