08Z milled head results @ ECS
The car made 486rwhp and 463rwtq tuned with Kooks LT's offroad, B&B bullets and TKO drop in filter. After I read about that whole exhaust valve issue some LS7's were having I decided to swap them out with stainless valves and mill the heads .030 while they were off. After tuning the car is now making 502rwhp and 483rwtq. Gain of 16hp and 20tq. I had a chance to wind her out on my way back home and honestly wasn't expecting to feel anything but I was suprised when the tach hit 4k. This thing just just catapulted forward. I can only imagine how it feels with something like a torquer cam.
I'd also like to thank ECS for the work. Great guys and atmosphere at the shop. Keep up the good work

Thanks! Very nice car.
The dip is a simple drop in timing during torque peak to suppress detonation in the tune. Being that the graph is squished down to less then half the page it in that setting, it amplifies any small dip dramatically.
Post up the "normal" style graph we gave you, that people are used to seeing, and it looks normal.
Thanks again!

I have always questioned how much porting and polishing the LS7 heads actually gain. IMO, 80% of the gains from a port, polish, mill job comes from the MILLING, that is why you never see the guys that offer the service test their heads with porting and polishing only. The porting and polishing is where they make their money, milling only costs a couple hundred dollars.
