C6Z06 runs 10.50 at Englishtown NJ ( no its not stock :)
Posted in the FI/Nitrous section but wanting to share where i started!!
I wanted to post up a rambling review of my very first drag strip run (Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ) and to commend how well my ECS car did. Quick tech info on the car: 06Z06, ECS600 kit, ECS Alky Kit, ECS Fuel System, AR Headers/X-pipe, Nitto NT05s = 740 rwhp / 690 rwtq. Now, by the short hairs:
On NT-05s (me and all my heavy right, but inartful footedness)
60' = 1.922
330 = 4.816
1/8 = 7.067 @ 111.94
1000 = 8.961
1/4 = 10.5
1/4 mph = 141.02 (perma grin there!! )
Contrast that with drag radials (Doug (ECS) driving I think - too many runs to be 100% positive) (even with traction control off, active handling demon reared up its very ugle and intrusive head):
60' = 2.389
330 = 5.787
1/8 = 8.13 @ 108.35
1000 = 10.102
1/4 = 11.717
1/4 mph = 140.88 In fact, Doug smoked the drag radials in 4th gear causing my family jewels to go in my stomach because he was essentially in the other lane at 140 mph before the results board Being the professional he is, his jewels were in his stomach too!! Ok, maybe not, but saying it makes me feel better)
ECS built a beast. So happy with it. I hot lapped 6-8 times and the car simply shined - all of ECS' work was bullet proof. On the other hand and full disclosure, I FRIED, i mean, FRIED, my clutch. I fully suspected something on the car would go, be it the drive shafts or the clutch. Oh well, followed Doug back to the shop and ECS is installing a RPS twin carbon clutch. I tell you, they built a 9 second, almost daily street driven (grocery-getting, to and from work in the fall/spring/summer) car and this newbie is going to hit that number if it kills me, err, costs me sum nickles.
Also, got to meet up with a bunch of CF members all of whom proved to be top notch people and drivers. CF represented exceedingly well today (Dave ((digivex) ticked off a goregous 9 second run). We have to make this an annual event either in conjunction with luxury4play.com (Greg (FASTLANE) organized this event much to his credit) or as a CF event!!
If its not already apparent - I'm hooked. For any driver that is otherwise intimidated by the drag strip, I understand completely your hesitance, but trust me when I say that you truly cannot appreciate the power of our cars until you test it and yourself with the pedal to the floor in 3 or 4th gear with more than set-off-the- (_!_) results. Oh, and you cannot see your time when you pass by the results board so you are itching with curiousity and adrenaline until you see the slip and when you see it, like i did with my 10.5 pass, you will smile and smile wide when you hit a number that you strive for . So fun!!!
Sorry for being so long winded, but I've yapped to anyone that would listen and needed to get it out by my poor typing. Diarrhea-of-the-mouth (fingertips) off.

So that was your sweet car that pulled up. I wish I'd known - I definitely would have chatted up a bit, including about your clutch and shifter. I'm on the fence for getting the shifter installed as well. My buddy, Rez90 (Joel), swears its a must do. Your thoughts?

ther is only one way to remove those demons...here is what i did run a toggle switch to the stability track relay then you completley turn off the demon...but you better be on your a+ driving game then when your done use the switch to turn it back on but you must cycle the start switch off then on so the computer understands hope this helps you to get your numbers you want

Wait till he road races it, now that's a thrill!!
The ABS "demons" can be easily put in their place with slicks at the track by pulling fuse number 3 or maxi fuse number 27 I believe. Which shuts off active handling.
Great job driving John, your a natural!!
