Here is some proof how fast an AWD can be. This is a guy in Vegas running about 630 WHP and slicks. He got 9's @ 141 MHP. Keep in mind this is only 630 WHP most of us have more power than that in our Vette's but could never dream of running 9's. Once again gearing and traction plays a major part.
Here in P.R. we have most of the "World Fastes Evo's & STi's" 90% of the enthusiast community like imports more than domestics so we (vettes people) have to "fight for our rights" hehehehe
Let me know as well I would like to be there also. A 700 WHP GTR I doubt I could beat it even though I am lighter. The auto trans with perfect WOT shift under full boost is quick.

With a manual I will have to hit it just right. If I can WOT shift it all the way down the track it will be interesting. I did all my ems settings so I can WOT (Wide open throttle shift) the Evo but who knows how well it will work. On paper all the settings look good but I will have to try it to be sure. Can't wait to back in Vegas however the track day will have to be shortly after Nov. 4th as my plane lands that day.
First I have to take you down then you can send your big brother "Wander Z06" after me. BTW my neighbor in Canada just bought a GTR. He was taunting to race my modded SRT4. We both ran against the clock at the last private track rental. He did best of 12.015@ 123 MPH (Stock) and I did 11.96 @123 MHP. Keep in mind we are 2200 Ft. above sea level just like Vegas. It would have been one heck of a race at the track. On the street he will just kill me as the AWD will outperform a front wheel drive especially when there are no slicks involved. I have great respect for the GTR platform. Anyways hope to see you soon…

Can't wait for your 700 WHP setup. That will be one heck of a ride. I just waiting for the price of the GTR to drop some more before adding one to my collection. Tell hung I want a ride in his car and yes if we can line up a track day that will be exciting. I need to dial in my tune on the Evo.

With all the high power GTR's running out there I am going to have to upgrade my turbo next season just to keep up. Precision just released the billet 6765 for the Evo. AWD mike just made 921 WHP with that turbo on a 2.0L motor not bad for a $1800 upgrade see:

He's good friends with the owner and will have the track all to his own. I wish we could run mine in Vegas but it will be on display at SEMA and then has to head back to Chicago. We will run it there soon after.
BTW Hings car made almost 800whp on C-16 but was seeing some clutch slipping so they detuned it back on 91oct which is what he is going to run so about 640whp from what I'm told. Should be fun to see if he beats my record on pump.

Im not sure the track was open in the morning.. i was going to go tuesday to sema... and track weds
I was told that Himg was going to run his car Wed morning because he has to work that night. I'll find out for sure by tommrow and let you know. Also if your going to SEMA on Tues make sure you stop by the NAGTROC booth where I'll probably be with my car. If I'm not there I'll most likely be at the AMS booth in the main hall.
Why don't we arrange a "meet day" for all forum members who will be in Vegas during Sema? If we arrange a time then we won't miss each other. I will leave this up to "Vegasdude" to chime in on this since his business has a nice parking lot. We can meet one evening perhaps and bring our ride for a show and tell night.
