I've talked about that here no one wants to hear about a 700whp 4cyl destroying their pride and joy. I spent 3 years in the EVO world and you still own a 700whp EVO we both know what would happen in 99% of street encounters.
I'll add I wouldn't go back to the EVO world either. The Z06 is so much more car and the drivability is much better.
That paddle shift is 80-120ms once the shifts are firmed up and no one will shift that fast.
There are TONS of nasty EVO's down here... the nastiest one that I know if clicks 160mph+ runs everytime... 951awhp. So, coming from a eclipse GSX I can understand how much power one can make with the 4g63t.

AWD Motorsports is down there and ASAP racing both wicked EVO's.
Yeah, I know those guys.... they tried to hustle me with their world's fastest M5! The black one i mentioned is from their shop.
I still remember when Mike race that 950whp TT Z06 from 60-160mph and beat it by car lengths. He (Vette Owner) was pissed and then wanted to race Mike with his 1200whp Viper its still on youtube I'm sure.....that's when the black EVO was pushing 770whp.

Nothing to see. It was a money race with Mike(EVO) getting the hit at 60mph-160mph he won by quite a few lengths. It wasn't a TT Z06 it was a SC/Nitrous Z06 the guy says 1000, but most say it was under that. The EVO traps 150mph+ in summer time so it would take a hell of a car to tango with it.
Here is the text and video sucked because there is no incar being a money race at night you just see headlight and here a bunch of screaming.

AWD Motorsports Evo RS vs. Chancleta's Z06.. 60 roll!!!
Well we got the race off tonight between AWD Motorsports Evo RS and Chancleta's 1000+hp Supercharged / Nitrous Z06.. Race was agreed upon @ 60mph to 160mph And i was awarded the hit for $1200.00.. We rolled up to 60mph and I moved off, pulled a couple gears and ran to 160+ and put a distance on the z06.,, I think everyone agreed when they saw the outcome that the move wouldnt have mattered.. I am pretty sure this proves that peak power is not everything.. The Vette didnt spin i was told but youll get to see the video soon to judge the distance.. Another Win for Broward!!
Big thanks to the Builder Cwill & Tuner Crispeed.. NONE of this would be possible without them.. The car performed flawless all night.. We drove from Broward to Miami Thursday and Broward to WPB tonight.. lets just say the car runs hard and still has a lot left in it!!!
Here is some proof how fast an AWD can be. This is a guy in Vegas running about 630 WHP and slicks. He got 9's @ 141 MHP. Keep in mind this is only 630 WHP most of us have more power than that in our Vette's but could never dream of running 9's. Once again gearing and traction plays a major part.

This is true about the power and gear. I have a video racing that guy with that set up in his new car, but remember 630 AWP translates into alot more RWHP. Probably around 700+ RWHP. Anyway, here is my video running him with 580 RWHP. Wonder how I would do with 630 RWHP or more. Enjoy.

Excellent run who won and by how much? It was hard to tell near the end. Don't get me wrong the Vette can hold it's own but it has to setup correctly. I think too many on here put too much emphasis on power alone. To get the Vette to show well one would need a good set of tires slicks if possible, a good clutch, gears would help and axles on a C6-Z.
Who is in the Red Evo? It looks like a guy I know in Vegas. Also did you use Nos and what was the times?

The driver owns both cars. Switched the set up out of the silver into the red one because it is lighter. That pass I went 10.71 @ 129 and he went 10.45 @ 131. Caught me right at the top. lol I used a 125 shot.

Oh man, we still talk about that race down here!!! He got punked and is STILL hurting about it.... this is the same guy that takes the hit ON EVER SINGLE RACE and still wants to throw that chance is a race win junk in your face... what a joke!
Honestly, Nelson performance is a joke. They are the same guys that had the worlds fastest/quickest ZR1 with 700rwhp+ PLUS he couldn't get over 140mph.
That vette (red) did have that power and the viper GTS (yellow) is an auto so its going to move. Chancleta, seriously, is a joke and he got called (by yours truly) to his face with him just storming off.
Oh, by the way.. notice that ZR1 isn't being posted about here... is because he popped it!!!! There is more know-how in one wheel of a AWD built evo then in whatever junk he put in that Z06. It was a procharger, built motor and bottle..... good combination just that guy has the this fame for being a top builder WITH NOTHING TO BACK IT UP. Anyone can throw parts at a car and go faster.... its how you balance the whole project is what separates the street-side fodder from the big boys.
Also, back to the EVO/gearing discussion... though I would agree that gearing is vital and staying in the power is important... however, I have experiences situations that the only time I got beat by an EVO (590awhp vs 465rwhp 08 Z06) at the strip was when he hit 5th an yanked that Loooong gear out on me. With a six speed, its damn close... but sometimes, especially the 4 cylinder crowds I have seen locally... the longer the gears the more power they can put down and yank BIG mph on the top end before the traps.
A well prepped EVO is sick, no doubt about it... but an equally prepped Z06, where it's already 2 sec.'s faster would feel like when tuned by someone take can actually prep a car? (I know that sounds ricer but it still holds water)
Furthermore, AWD is AWD... there is no mistaking the advantage a high HP car has at the track where they call yank ALL day launches like that. Again, you have to give credit to the Z cause even though some folks just havent practiced enough and perfected the launch on a z06 (its finicky!) doesn't mean that it wont run hard on an air strip type of event. You can extract more of the true potential of the car with (more consistent) in an AWD at the track will the Z is just, again, touchy.... get the clutch release wrong and you won't see an 11.99 in a bit. Try to do that in a car where all four wheels are propelling you forward and you drop the clutch off a 2-step and mess up?! You know what's up!!
Mine will be displayed at SEMA this year at the NAGTROC booth. Stop by and say hello if your going. I'd like to put faces on some of the names of people I've been talking to on here for a few years.
BTW the GT-R just made 700hp to the rear wheels on 109 race gas on only 22psi so more left on the table.
Will be taking it to the track after SEMA to see what she can do.
Im sorry..... stage 2 GTR is in the mid to maybe a high 120mph range... how is he hanging with your where you should be well into 130mph's with that power? Especially with him putting down 515awhp? BS!
Honestly, A stage 2 is a good race for a STOCK Z06... 608awhp with a hks570 inthe 132mph range is about 2 cars ahead of a stock+intake Z06... So, again, these results makes so, either your car is not running right that day or he is lying about his mods... STILL, he is going to need over 600awhp to hang with you like that.
So, not knocking on your car, but this doesn't make sense... you SHOULD of rocked that GTR no problem ever single time.
