Installation Process :

Step 1: Fold down the passenger footwell carpet to reveal the fuse panel area.

Step 2:Pull the two fuses that the arrows are pointing to.
In the photo the fuses are already pulled out.

Step 3: Install the fuse adapter as shown in the top fuse slot.
Install the exhaust fuse signal wire into the left side of the exhaust fuse slot as shown,
and tie down the ground ring under the 7mm bolt on the amplifier as shown.

Step 4: Place the main unit underneath the amplifier.

Step 5: Use the supplied unique code to sync the Lear Car2U visor to the main unit.

Step 6:Fold the passenger footwell carpet back into place.

You are all done!

Default Great Lear Car2U compatible controller

I installed one of the sunset creation lear car2U controllers in July on my 08Z. Ben did what the other guys don't he integrate the Lear visor remote control.

Ben provided great support on the install. I also purchased the navigation commander, but haven't had time to install yet.

Ben is one of the best forum suppliers.

Got mine installed last weekend--took maybe 10 minutes. The buttons are a little sensitive to program so I called Ben (6:30 PM Sat evening) and he talked me right through it. Kudos to Ben! Great product and great customer support. Highly recommended!

BTW--works Perfect...

Ben,
I've got a unit on order but it hasn't shipped yet. I looked at your instructions and realized there may be an install issue:

Where you have the box being installed is already occupied by the GM PAL unit in my car (per GM instructions). Is that controller box going to fit anywhere else there in the footwell? If not, I am going to be very disappointed to not be able to use your unit.

John

Hi John

An alternative install method finalized. There will be a second install version that will work with the Pal installed in the factory manner. Since people have pals in the space my unit needs to go I am working on the alternate area to locate my box.

Just installed one in a 2009 cyber gray ZR1.

Took less than 5 minutes and linked
to the visor in one try.

Quick question for ya: Do the exhaust valves operate as normal if you leave your system in the closed mode? Or is it only open or closed with your controller? Thanks.

How does the unit link to the visor without some type device emitting a signal for the visor remote to record???

When the valves are closed they operate exactly like they do from the factory and open at the gm programmed rpm.
