Too expensive? Mabey in a straight line, the Z would have to work very hard to keep up, but on the track, the Z would out handle the Viper in the turns. The Viper dose not have traction control. There have been many comparisons (Motor Trend, Road & Track and other mags as well as the ones on the Speed channel) and of those cars in a head to head, the Z is always on top.

You use traction control on the track?

Sir, the Viper is not for you. I always turn off everything before hitting a road course. On the Viper its one less thing to do, thats all. And as for turns, both handle well, but differently. The viper will pull more G's in a turn but will lose itself without warning above that limit. harder to modulate.

Look, both cars are terrific bang for the buck. Each has their drawbacks. Its a great country that we still have the option. Dont get out of your Z06 and get into an 04 anything and expect a stellar experience. Even in the Gallardo you have to move up to the 05.

This sums it up......the Z06 shares it's steering wheel with a malibu, the viper has a radio straight out of a neon

A couple qualities have to be noted about the Viper...number one is the performance and power the car has, number two is the unique body design were as it doesn't share it's body with "Viper base model"

Those two things were the "only" things to consider when making my choice...they weren't enough. Way too many negatives to list, exhaust sound sucks, interior makes the Z's look like a Bentley, cabin is hot, very uncomfortable driver position, ect...........

As I said before, it was, and is my second choice which isn't bad being only one down from a Z.

I think this is what we are all trying to say

Dont get me wrong, if I had to pick, it would be the Z06. BUT if any car guy actually thinks this is not a good looking car they are

Thanks! That was last year, I still have the Z(it is getting twin turbos as we speak), but the viper has been replaced with an 06 Mustang Stage 3 Roush convertible for now.

Not quite a viper, but not too shabby

My wife and kids are fine with my love for Corvettes, but I think they would go in front of a judge and have me declared incompetent if I showed up in a Viper. Personally, I think they look like street version knock-offs of the original batmobile.
