1st trip to track
Sunday was my first trip to track with my new S/C set up. My first pass was to see how the track was and how the tires would stick with 870 rwhp. Taking off at low RPM's and letting off between shifts I ran a 10:4 at 144 mph. 2cd pass took off a little too hard and fried the tires with a 1.98 60 ft which came out to be a 10:2 at 149.4 mph. My last pass was a 10.3 @ 145 mph spinning the tires at the 1000' mark. It's hard to believe the the tires would actually break free at over 140 mph I orded a mph signal generator to add to my launch controller this morning, hope this will help with the 60 ft times next time out.
Had a great time and best of all drove home with a/c on making about 24 mpg Thanks to all who came out to join us.

Thats is great you got to take the car out and enjoy it at its full/partial potential. The car gives a obvious that its making the power the dyno shows with nearly 150mph traps. I look forward to your car going to the track more with better prep and maybe better tires?
Do you know what the temps or DA was? The sea level of the track? Seems like it would be a decent DA for the MPH but anythings possible in drag racing. Congrats on the runs and keep'm coming!

Very nice She's got a 9.50 in her. Looking forward to going back to the track on friday for pinks. What were you leaving the tree at with the 10.2 run??
Also whats a mph signal generator?
Thanks
James

6000 rpm's according to the log file. Tach does not keep up with the engine so it is difficult to drive. I will probably have to add a shift light. I spun all of first gear letting off several times and then just shifted to 2cd since I wasn't going anywhere and the tires stuck from there!!

I know what you mean. If we could just take the boost down to like 7-8psi instead of 15psi i think we could easily get the 60' down to where we could get her in the 9's.
It is a hell of a fun ride

I don't know what it is with people filming these runs, but they almost ALWAYS shut the damn camera off as the car passes thru the lights. lol
Nice run. I keep hearing about how the LS7 is supposed to explode the instant you boost it, guess that's just more CF hysteria. lol
