Default Cleartastic..DIY people

i posted this in the tech. forum but did not get any response, maybe someone with a z06 has used this:

just got mine in the mail today and was going to start installing, but was wondering if i really need to make the water mixture they call for or if windex would be fine? thanks for the help

Personally I would follow the directions and use the mixture they recommend. It is a difficult enough install to get all of the air bubbles out and get it to adhere evenly in all places. I am sure each of the ingredients plays a role to help.

I made the mixture and the install went great. No bubbles, etc.

I did my own clear bra... cost me all of a $1.50 hahahaha

What shelving paper did you use? I've been using WalMart but mine does not come out that neat. I does help other driver's recognize you in the paddock after the session!

i have used spray detailer to put on the cleartastic and it has worked fine as well.

if anyone is interested, i made the solution, and everything went on perfect....i may even get the front done over winter....i havnet even made my first payment on it yet so i cant get too crazy haha

Good one. I am not a proponant of wrapping a car in plastic. I think it looks lousy for cars.

I read a thread a while back that someone did the WRONG mixture & the film came out like crap. I'd follow the directions, as I see you smartly did.
