is anyone running an exposed carbon hood on their car? if so pics plz...

jason how much is that hood? where can i get it? and how are the gaps are they really bad or pretty much on the money? thanks

The hood is available from AC Products in carbon or fiberglass, but it is intended to be painted. Mine was the only one they ever did in exposed carbon. They don't have an autoclave so there are imperfections, but I'm okay with that. They don't want to sell them like that. Gaps are good. Time needed to prep for paint is excessive. You can now get the World Challenge hood through ACP or Katech in RTM fiberglass, primed and ready for paint. It will be a lot easier to paint this way.

I can do that SAME hood like Jason, In BEAUTIFUL carbon exposed weave. For a bit longer lead times, I can do any hood in exposed carbon

I will say, its not cheap!

in the process of pricing out parts to repair my Z, i learned that the ZR1 hood is about $5400.....
