The Bullet is the loudest, the Fusion is the middle of the ground, and PRT is the quietest. The PRT has no drone and has a nice deep rumble. I would recommend the PRT if your neighbors are annoyed by the sound

Sorry, I was not clear. I have PRT's now. I am looking for some muffs that don't bark so much at start up. I found a device that will keep flaps shut with no vacuum and had hoped the Fusions (or maybe Akras) would be more mellow than the PRTs, with flaps shut.

The Fusions would be good for the start up, like you are asking, so would Akrapovic. We have both in stock. Let me know which you'd like and we can ship right away for you.

I usually leave mine open but on a long highway drive I am very glad I went with the Fusions. My wife is even "gladder", and we know how important that is!!

Can you explain the difference between the Gen 1, Gen 3, and Gen 5 Fusion exhaust?

Please give us a call. Easier than trying to type it all up.

Trying to decide between Corsa 14164, B&B Fusion FCOR0466 and B&B PRT FCOR0470 to replace the stock NPP exhaust on my (all stock) 07 Z. I have a Corsa Sport exhaust on my C5 LS1 convertible, so I'm familiar with the sound. (a LITTLE louder would be OK)
My questions are:
How does the PRT sound vs Corsa?
How does the PRT sound vs Fision with the valves closed?

Thank You,

It looks like the car in the video also has headers. Do you offer coating for your American Racing Headers?

Having American Racing headers installed on my 2013 427 (LS7) in a few short weeks (once the streets are all clear of any salt dust from winter's long grip here in IL). In any event I was going to maintain my stock NPP exhaust but as I read more and more about this B&B Fusion exhaust system I am more and more impressed with it.
Are there HP gains to be realized by this system? I've heard maybe 10HP. If true this should put me slightly over the 500RWHP mark I would think, correct? I curently have a tune and Halltech Super Bee CAI. Now I will be adding AR headers and potentially the B&B exhaust.
Thanks.

Hopefully David from Southern Car Parts will respond to this post.
If not , I'd contact him. The regular Gen-2 Fusions may be a bit loud with headers. You may want to consider Gen-3. But I'd definitely discuss this with David.

Had another thought. Why not try the headers with the NPP first.
See how it sounds and replace the axel back later?

Default Kooks swap

Any reason why exhaust systems can't be swapped between a 2008 base model (with kooks headers, kooks catted x pipe, and Corsa sport mufflers) and a 2011 GS with stock NPP system? Thanks for any help - got a buddy posing a great deal.
