Any solid info on ordering/delivery dates yet?
I understand there is no REAL changes for the 2010 models, just wondered when the factory might accept orders and when to expect delivery.

There have been a few threads on this topic.

I believe it's safe to say there will be tweaks and improvements overall from the 09' model, but nothing major.

I would like to see direct direct ignition and some new colors, as well as a a little HP bump; 550 would be nice.

With the potential bankruptcy on the horizon, I think everything is up in the air right now.

Historically, dealers receive their order guides in mid to late April and can start to place orders the last half of May.

Then the assembly plant usually switches over mid to late July and deliveries can happen as the vehicles roll out of the plant.

Given that there is such a large inventory of Corvettes in stock, a reasonable assumption is that the summer shutdown/switchover would extend beyond the usual two weeks.

Actually, the new model changeover occurs before the plant shutdown in July. My 09 Z06 was built in June of 2008, and over a thousand 09's had been built before it. I took delivery of it July 28. The dealer recieved it on July 25, 2008.

A fellow club member took delivery of his 09 Z09(VIN #95) in June of 08.

I doubt there is an HP bump in the future now that the Chevy high performance group has been disbanded.

You're right; I stand corrected. Corvette has been an "exception" to the standard GM model changeover recently.

But I would still anticipate a slow or delayed launch for '10 due to current inventory. Trade publications such as "Automotive News" updates plant shutdowns and the like.
