Default RPI ZR1 Splitter

I got my RPI ZR1 splitter today. Amazing. Next weekend I'll get some good pictures that show it better. It looks so good I got excited and had to snap these pictures.

The finish and paint are smooth as glass. Really changes the personality of the car.

I ran out of time and ended up just putting it on with 2 screws for now. So my next set of pictures won't have any gaps.

It looks like the clearance is exactly the same as the factory one. All of the screw holes lined up perfectly and the part is like a factory part.

I'm not sure. Maybe RPI will jump in? I'd guess fiberglass. That's what it looks like to me at least.

Default Thanks for the R&D

Looks Greats, RPI does excellent work.

Your pictures, let me pull the trigger on ordering my own.

I know it's going to scrape in&out of driveways, but hopefully not too much more than the stock splitter. And that was my concern with going red vs. flat black. Red is going to show everything, but I'm thinking that if it gets damaged too much I can always paint it flat black myself.

But, you can see that the glossy finish highlights all the detail in the splitter. And by matching the car color it creates a different look than the carbon fiber ZR1 version.

Default Word of Warning

I've had my RPI ZR1 splitter installed for over a week and the styling looks great. However, if you have even the most minor scrapes on your stock splitter you need to know that this splitter will not withstand ANY.

I knew that I would scrape the bottom of the splitter and did expect to see some type of minor damage. However, even the most minor of scrapes will result in major damage to the bottom edge. As the paint and material chips in large chunks, about 1/4" in diameter.

The flaw that I see with the design is the front edge is square and sharp on the bottom and it easily "catches and drags". I would love to include a picture, but I'm not smart enough.

Right now, I've decided to keep it on the car for a while and monitor the continued damage. Then install some "skid pads" that will bottom out first before the front edge hits bottom.

ME TOO...I'm just afraid, with mine lowered an inch, that I would break it (I'm sure it's MPC or fiberglass).

btw: i would paint mine flat black

Looks great! I doubt it will accommodate the Speed Lingerie mask though - which would be a problem for me.

We also make the replica ZR1 Splitter in FLAT BLK. The color matches to rear exhaust diffuser.

The price is $488/pc.
