Default 1.55 60' with stock clutch

This past Friday I made 4 passes during track rental, all 4 were 10.7's on street ET"S. My 1st pass had I a 1.55 60 ft the other 3 were in the 1.6's. I would not reccomend this tire to any one. Way to much movement on the second half of the track to be safe. I only went through the traps in 4th gear on 1 pass with a speed of 133 mph the other 3 I stayed in 3rd till 7200 rpm's any costed through the traps at 119 -120 mph. I will post the time slips later in the day when I get a chance to scan them.

My thanks to John and Jerry for getting the track rental set up. Had a great time

You had problems with Mickey Thompson ET Streets down the track at high speeds? What size rims and tires do you have on there?

Way to go Randy. ET streets will make the rear of thw car move around a lot if using full width radials up front.

M/T ET Streets are great tires and very stable at high speeds. I've been over 160mph on them many times but you do need to run bias fronts.

Probably not a good deal for most with Z's looking to just bolt on something for a run.

Just go with the MT ET Street Radial. They hook great and no problems with back end being squirrely at the second half of the track.

So long as the ET Streets were not aired less then 17psi, even on front radials, the "floatiness" near the top end should only be minimal....I raced that way exclusively on my C5Z, although not at that MPH (122mph). If you are getting DR's, problem solved, but otherwise, try airing up the rears some. With the stock C6Z clutch, it souldn't affect traction.

i have the exact same setup. radials upfront and 17x11 zr1 wheels and 26x11.5x17 et streets and the *** end likes to dance around the top end. people call me a p*ssy for not roll racing on the freeway with these tires. i think its called being smart.
