2LZ vs 3LZ
Can someone tell me the difference with a 2007 3LZ that is all ebony interior vs a 2LZ. I'm looking at a 3lz for sale that a dealer has and I'm trying to see what the differences are. Thanks.

If the car is a 2007, it doesn't have the #LZ package; that was first offered in 2008.
The sales may be thinking of the 3LT (which is offered on the Coupes/Verts) which is similar to the 2LZ in the Z06.

The 2007 Z06 has a 1LZ and a 2LZ option group. 3LZ was added in late2008.
Now, a 2LT in the C6 coupe is roughly equal to the 1LZ Z06 and 3LT in the coupe is equal to the 2LZ Z06. In 2008, the 4LT in the coupe is equal to the 3LZ. Why couldn't Chevy just standardize it, and don't ask about the 2005 option groups!
To determine a 2LZ from a 1LZ their are several options. The quick way is to look for heated seat switches next to the ash tray. 2LZ also includes side air bags, tilt/telescopic steering, 2-person memory, 6-way power driver and pass seats, dual zone climate control and a host of other nice options.
I have found that most dealers do not understand any of this and list 1LZ cars as "fully loaded".

Thanks. That's about exactly what I said to the salesman as I didn't think the 3lz was made until 2008. He's still telling me it's a 3lz. So he's having his "corvette guru" call me tomorrow. From the pics and description it sure looks like a 2lz vehicle. He doesnt have a window sticker.

The most significant difference in the 3LZ is a leather wrapped interior. Dash, Door pannels, console and seats are all leather. The 3LZ is the nicest interior ever offered in a Z06 but only became available in '08.
Your salesman does not know his Corvettes very well.
Good Luck

I attached a picture of the Ebony and Linen Interior in my 08Z. The edges of each color are stitched and even when the interior is mono tone the same edges are stitched.

Also, 06, 07,& 08 Z's do not have power passenger seat. Added in 2009.

'08 2LZ interior
Ok, now I'm confused.
What I'm understanding here is that the original 2LZ option did NOT give you 'leather seats' or leather trim of any kind in the interior, correct?
Now the 3LZ option, which was only available in late '08 Z06's, gave you the leather wrapped dash, console, steering wheel and leather seats. Is this correct?
Attached are 2 photo of the car in question, which I have since discovered is a 2LZ car, but is stated to have 'leather' listed in the dealer's list of options.
The photos do appear to have stitching on the seats and dash. Any comments on this stitching? I just want to be sure I know exactly what I'm looking for with regards to the 2LZ/3LZ trims.
thank you,
Mel

You are showing a 2LZ car. Someone also mentioned passenger power seats. This was only in later years. Not sure what exact year off hand. I have a 2LZ 08. All trim levels had leather. 3LZ just took it up a notch (I have seen awesome 2 tone combos such as ebony and linen shown a few posts back) with the dash, door panels, and center counsel. The stitching you see in on the bezel over the shiftier and radio. That is not dash stitching. All 08 models got that "leather" bezel. The dash is not stitched like a 3LZ would be.

As others have stated, you would notice the stitching on the actual dash panel, door panels and center console lid if it was a 3LZ. This is a 2LZ model. Think the corvette on the passenger side dash is also embroidered on a 3LZ and not plain like the picture. Also, all vettes have leather seats.
