yeah going low psi with an ECS Meth kit and most importantly a safe conservative tune.
later on if i get the urge for more HP, i will go with forged internals. check out the c6 forced induction section. my kit came in last week and will drop of the car this week.

I have an 08 Z and a good friend has an 07. He went with a procharger and has had some trouble. I have talked to several guys that have had great luck with the blower but his is still not right. He was told it would be an easy bolt on/tune process. Far from it. I'm sure they will get it right, but I'm glad I didn't do it.
I went the cam route (custom grind). I pick the car up on Thursday and have about 1K mile ride home, so I will know how livable it is by the end of the week. I will give you an update then.

You haven't mentioned what your goals were for with the power increase. Is it a daily driver? Do you plan on auto crossing it or dragracing it or just having a fast car on the street? My opinion would be based on your answers to those questions

So i'm trying to decide on the path i want to go down with my Z. I want to do this sooner than later and get it overwith and be finished spending money on the car. One time. One round of mods. over and done with.
I've researched and narrowed it down to 2 options. Cam package or supercharger.
I'm not really concerned with the difference in hp in that they will be within 50whp of eachother and money isn't the issue because each package is only a few grand apart.
So i'm looking at the pro's and cons of each and having a hard time making my decision.
Supercharger:
Pro's:
Stock idle
Stock drivability
Keep the stock cam
Car sounds stock (except for a little whine, which i'm ok with)
Stock powerband with MORE power all the way up.
No internal Modifications to the motor.
Opening the hood and seeing a supercharged LS7
Cons:
Making an NA motor FI (which always makes me nervous)
More Expensive
More Belts/pullys/crap to go wrong.
Cam Package:
Pro's:
Lumpy idle
Nasty angry powerband
Keeping the motor NA
The car will get louder.
Less Expensive than a SC
Cons:
Lumpy idle
The car will get louder
Not as much power as a SC
Car will shake while idling
Lose a little drivability
Help me out guys. I'm having a really hard time with this decision.
Thanks in advance and everybody have a happy and safe labor day. I know i'm safe cause i'm here working till 5.
Cheers
