They come with a battery tender, that should tell you something. The bottom line is these cars have some inherent drain for the systems. It even says in the Owners Manual to disconnect the battery if its not going to be driven for a while, the earlier models even specified 21 days. Saying it shouldn't be this way, GM needs to do this or that won't change it on the car you have IMHO. Get a battery tender, use it, it solves the dead battery problem. I have no doubt GM is well aware of it.

I had my battery drain 3 times in two weeks. Put a full charge on the battery and have followed a few tips and so far so good...no dead battery. I switched my mild to wild to zero drain setup, turn off radio etc. when car is off (not sure if this helps, only push the lock button on fog once (no honking). I also found that my dash light adjustor/interior lights was in the "on" position....shut that down.

Does changing the battery to an Optima or other brand work?

I think it's pretty rediculous that a car as high performance, and high $$$, would have such a drastic issue. Any information you can supply would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
If it kills the battery in 5 days. You have drainage problem.
Adding an ugly Optima is not fix the problem.

No problems here. On any of 3 Corvette's. I would not like adding a battery tender. The coming
on a new car? It's a funny JOKE.
