Well I have to say that my car with just over a half of tank of fuel weighed 3220lbs on Moroso's scale. They are curb wieghted at 3150. What's the deal?

I have a supercharged Z06 and love it, but I am not going to jump on the ZR1 hater bandwagon. The ZR1 with a pulley, tune, CAI is going to put out stupid horsepower. I expect $2,000 dollars in mods will put the ZR-1 at 700-750rwhp easy. Just my .02

Sure, NOW. But when that was happening, the Z06 was selling for $10k+ and the argument was that the Z06 was still $25k more than the a modded Z51. I suspect that in the end, the differences will be similar. They said it was just a C6 with 100 hp more. The msrp of the ZR1 is just about the same % more than the Z06 as was the Z51.

I get the feeling you won't be able to put on a smaller pulley.

That $2K is going to grow substantially when things start to break.

You'll have to change the whole blower - KB supposedly is working on one.

Don't change the pulley on the supercharger. To gain boost you'll have to make that one smaller. Bad idea, smaller = belt slip. Change the lower pulley to a large one. Much better plan.

The 2009 Zr1 leaves a pretty large price gap over the C6 Z06. Compared to the price gap over a loaded C6.

I seriously doubt the Zr1 will get modded by many people. Its just like buying a Ford GT...most have one as a collector car or garage queen with a very small percentage getting modded.

Will a bigger lower even fit? I know Ford dealt with this possibility on the GT500 by designing the block so a lower was no-can-dosky.

They were maxxed out with a 2.1" pulley or something at 14lbs or so. I know of one that had to have the whole front stout changed just to hit 600whp. And still 3800lbs. Man that hurts the Ford guy deep inside me.
