I wanted to share my experience with Quality Motorsports over the past couple months. I am new to the Z06 scene, although not to the wonderful world of aftermarket horsepower. Over the past couple years, I have built a couple nationally recognized cars.....an 1100+whp 1998 Supra and a 700whp+ 2002 GT2. After what I thought would be a harmless conversation with SW asking him what I should mess with next, he quickly convinced me that a Z06 purchase would be a worthwhile move. Although I was a bit skeptical, around Labor Day, SW sold me a perfect black 06 with 900 miles sight unseen. At that point I had never driven a domestic car that wasn't part of a rental fleet, let alone a Z06. Since SW is familiar with my high expectations along my abusive appetite for friendly street racing, he immediately pointed me towards Patrick over at Quality Motorsports.
What started out as a heads/cam/header package to serve as a nice weather daily driver turned into a complete motor build with a custom two stage 200 shot plate/direct port nitrous kit. Unfortunately I have never been able to just stick with simple bolt-ons and this car proved no exception.
Patrick did an exceptional job keeping me posted with progress updates, reviewing different options/ideas etc. over the entire build process. He patiently answered all of my dumb questions and took care of the car as if it were his own. Since I rushed him a bit on the delivery date, we decided it would make sense for me to put a few miles on it before the weather turned here in Ohio and make fine adjustments to the car after I had some seat time. After emptying three bottles over the first 72 hours the car was delivered along with numerous N/A beatings, my seat time was complete.
Patrick and Ryan flew up to Ohio this past weekend to make a few changes and I couldn't be happier with the final product. Even my wife, who hates anything to do with cars, didn't mind "the car guys" taking over the garage and staying at our house. You both were perfect houseguests! Max, our Jack Russell, is still looking for you Ryan! Although I have to admit, you two were real wimps in the 22 degree snowy weather…..
Below is a quick video I shot of the last dyno run we did Monday night after a night of tuning. We still have some minor A/F adjustments to make on the two stage as it was getting late at night, and we decided to continue tuning on the street once the Ohio weather warms up next spring.
Bottomline, if anyone is considering shops to work on your Z, I would highly recommend Quality Motorsports. I am spoiled working with some of the top shops in the country and QM exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly doubt there is also a more reasonably priced shop around either. I look forward to hopefully working with them again next year on another project...this time an 09 CTS-V for the family car.
If anyone is looking for a further reference on their work, please don't hesitate to PM me.
I look forward to meeting some of you all in the future!
Stuff like that says more about a Co. than price or former occupations Working closely w/ a customer and allowing inspection of any work at any point in the build are even better Besides, Patrick has a yellow Mac box, mark of a true vette tech
Not one bit surprised at any of this. Patrick is an extremely professional individual, and will go far in this tuner industry. Very impressive and I know this, I wouldn't let anyone else work on my car. Top notch recommendation.

Jamie, I'm just glad to get you out of that glorified VW and into a real car. Enjoy the Z!

Jamie,
Glad you are happy with your beast!
Thank you for the business opportunity. I couldn't get away to join you guys in Ohio, I had to help hold the fort down here in Texas.
Yeah, those guys don't know real cold weather I tell them this all the time. I am originally from Chicago, so I know how REAL cold feels like; those boys wouldn't make it through one -20* below wind-chill day.
Of all the bad ass cars in your garage, why'd you choose to list the 03 Miata Turbo in your sig? Can you elaborate on what it's got. Inquiring minds want to know. I have an 06, been eyeing something to wake it up a bit. The Z is finally done for this year, time to dish out some love for the Miata.

It's my Porsche killer.. I have more fun tracking it than my ZO6 because there is a lot more competition I can run with. The ZO6 alot faster than most of the other "track cars".
It started life as a '03 factory spec car, one of 50 built. Now it has a built motor w/ single turbo, full suspension, carbon fiber hood, seats ect. It has made 390rwh, but I run it at about 300rwh because they say the transmission won't live.
Damn SW, even your Miata looks beautiful Don't be dishing on those expensive VW's....those GT2's rock!
Carlos, you're welcome, thanks for the help!
Thanks everyone, hopefully once the Ohio tracks open back up and we can get a decent number out of it. I'm hoping to bring it down to Texas for TX2K08 if anyone wants to have some fun on the street.

I am also another impressed fan of the team at Quality Motorsports in Lewisville, Tx. Competion be afraid, be very afraid. Customer service is exceptional.
For me, once again experiencing the joys of owning another Vette, after a short 2.5 year hiatus away; I find myself craving the sweet look and raw power of the naturally aspirated Vette beast again. I am currently awaiting my 08 black and competition grey wheeled beauty, being built week of 12/17.
After after all kinds of good things about this shop from friends, I decided to pay them a visit today, Sat 12/8.
I ws greeted by Patrick and then walked out to the shop and introduced to Luke and Ryan. Luke pu;;ed himself away from a project to talk with me at lenght about all one could get done with their Z06. I was drooling. Just before heading out to my car, Carlos grabs me and says, "you want to go for a ride in that white Ron Fellows Z" ? How could I refuse. This car mind you was equipped with the mytic QM600 cam...folks this car will blow you away with how docile it idols and then with a quick throttle blip your planted deep into your seat...very sweet, very tight. It blew my mind the shere awesomeness of this incredible car.
Then, QM's resident "bean counter" took me out in his own personal black beauty, a 06 Z06; just to illustrate the difference between the two. These cars are absolutley amazing! Carlos you're one hell of a driver in local traffic. Thank you for a mid day ride brother.
Thank you all at Qualitymotorsports for making my visit, albeit breif, an enriching experience. I will, be back for my Z06's massaging.
What impressed me last week was when I called Patrick and he shared the cam specs. It helped make decisions. I think you buy from those who treat you with respect and trust. nuff said.
