Default Higher In Value

I checked my VIN in the Black Book, on-line the value went to $76,500 with the 2LZ in VY and 11,000 miles . I paid $70,745 didn't realize it's an investment too.

What a great car Al

I tried to check on Kelly Blue Book, and Edmund and I couldn't even find the 2007 model year, maybe mine is so high it's off the charts . No, seriously how can one check the 2007 market value ?

MSRP. None of the sources have values for the 2007s yet. So for 2007s, it's MSRP until otherwise noted by KBB/NADA/etc.

you might want to actually sell the car IMO before you spend the money you have 'made'.

If you sell it, you won't see it. Why would someone give you that much $$ now? There are plenty to be had at Msrp now, which is about the same price and a year newer.

Currently you can probably get what you paid. Which is incredible in of itself.

It's common that the first model year be worth more than the following years. So don't sell the 06 Z yet.

The values are holding up pretty well around here. Autotrader has 17 within 200 miles of here, with mileage ranging from 2K to 11K. The lowest asking price, if I recall correctly, was $68K, and the high was $80K. The average asking price is mid-70s.

Default smoking weed!

If you can buy a brand new 2007 z06, 2lz, and MY for $74k, which you can all day long, curious why would you think one with 11,000 miles would be worth $77k? No flame, pal, but I want what your smoking! Bty, my home in Naples, Florida was worth $725k a year ago and now its worth $650k, maybe.

Biil, You're not reading what I wrote, AS PER THE BLACK BOOK, ( not me ) has listed my VIN @ $76,500 in VY with the 2LZ and 11,000 miles.

Those books only work when the dealers can use them to make money on you.
Just like Kelly blue book. Carmax sells for less than kelly blue book.

When I bought my Viper used in 04,they showed the car new for over list. You could buy them for new at almost invoice.

I don't know about this blackbook but if it's like any other published item, the news is 3 months old when you get it.

All good points, but so far, this car is holding it's value very well. It's not so much how up-to-date the books are. It's more telling what they say about the relative values of Car A vs. Cars B-Z one year later. One would expect that any particular book's inaccuracy would be a statistical constant across all makes.

Actually Black Book comes out every week with the up dated info. The book is just a guide, thats all. Sometimes it's right on and sometimes not. And, I have never seen one of those books write a check yet!
