QA-1 shocks for the Z06?
I have heard that the QA-1 shocks that are designed for the C5 will fit the Z06. Will the fronts fit as well as the rears?
For those of you who have the QA-1's, what settings are you using for the drag strip? Daily drive setting? Long haul touring setting?
Thanks

I go to the drags about once per week except in the heat of the summer. From about mid-July to the end of August I hold off because there isn't much point in going when the temps are in the upper 90's and high humidity.
I also don't go on long road trips that often, so I can forsee only changing the settings ocasionally. A friend has QA-1 on his Camaro and the settings are very easy to change.

QA1 Shocks
I have not used the front shocks, but I can attest to the rear shocks. The part number is TC 3020P and they fit and work PERFECT. They have twelve setttings and you can change the setting in about 5 minutes, if you don't mind laying on the ground. The shocks seem to ride as good as the stock gas shocks, even on setting number 7. With these shocks on #7 you can launch the car and will NOT experience wheel hop. Mike Siska is using the same shocks on the rear of his Z-06 and has eliminated the wheel hop problem also. I did quite a bit of research before I purchased these shocks back in April. There are other shocks such as Penske shocks (which are Great products) but they cost more than twice as much and you have to wait 6 weeks. The QA-1's are available from Jegs and are in stock. As one member said use what works for you! I figure if something works great and has a great value then pass the info on to other members. Thats why we have a forum!

I had the QA-1's on my Firebird and they worked great for getting rid of wheel hop. They also rode like stock for long trips (4-6 hours). In my opinion, I believe they are worth the money if you plan on racing your ZO6 in the 1/4 mile regularly.

The QA1 single **** adjustable shock for the rear adjusts compression and rebound at the same time. Twisting the **** in increases both compression and rebound at he same time. On the front the regular single **** shock adjusts both compression and rebound, but the "R" option, which is more oriented to drag racing, is a Rebound adjustable only shock.
MSI does make special shock mounts that allows the installation of QA1's twin **** double adjustable shocks onto a C5 or C6. One **** adjusts compression totally independently from rebound and visa-versa.

I have the QA-1's on all 4 corners and can tell you they make a great difference in the way the car handles. I have 3 track days on this set up now and the car can handle bumps in the middle of high speed turns without getting bent out of shape, no more front end floating above 120 mph and when setting the rears at 7 no more wheel hop, just nice big smokey burn outs.
Over the last week we drove the car 1500 miles to Las Vegas for SEMA, Parumph for Corvette Days and back to Sacramento again. It takes 3 minutes to adjust all 4 shocks. I set them at 3 for the flight though the desert, seeing speeds above 140mph for extended periods and at the track, the fronts at 6 and the rears at 7.
Call Mark at MSI, he'll get you set up.

I believe the fronts are QA1TC3014P and the rears are QA1TC3020P. Call Mark at MSI to confirm.

you can replace only the rears if your only concern is axle hop, but for best balanced handling you really aught to change all four.
I think that the fronts that we put on lowered c5s and c6s are about $150ish and the rears are about $285ish. You can call me at the store and I can give you an accurate price.

So besides the fact that these QA1 shocks eliminate wheel hop, is it also safe to assume that with these shocks installed on all four corners, the car will feel more stable at higher speeds (140+) than with the stock shocks?
