Took this of the plaque at the Detroit auto show the other day, which was right next to the yellow Z06 that you could sit in... so it seemed to be a production car. But 550 Hp?
Yeah, it's probably a typo... or maybe a hint of things to come?
I did a search and didn't see it posted before... sorry if it's a dupe! ?????
I live near Detroit and have been going every year since I've been very young, so I guess I don't realize how lucky I am... but I suppose spending some time where you are might help me realize how lucky I am!
It was great, I was very impressed with GM's setup, the best display in the show. Wasn't very impressed with Ford or Chrysler's display's. Camaro was very popular, maybe the most crowded of the show. Challenger is cool, but looks just like the old one (I guess there's a market for that). I was not impressed with Chrysler's or Ford's concepts. The Buick Enclave is beautiful, and should compete very well with Lexus. (this was a concept but is supposed to be close to the prod version)

As an owner of a '06 Z, I will be very disappointed if that tag is correct!
How about this opinion, a 10% increse in HP with computer programing. It's real easy if you already own an 06 Z06. As soon as we know how they tuned it or detuned it, Hahahahhahaha
You and alot of other 06 owners. But it will keep the 07 at over MSRP for while, they did it on the C5Z's.
Never happen. The '01--'02 change was explained by emissions, etc. The '01 was rushed to market. The difference was 20hp. It is highly doubtful that we will see a 50hp increase in the second year.
If you can get a Jan. issue of hot rod mag. you'll see it comes in a box from gm with 540hp. Its the same engine that goes in all the z's With a few add ons and a tune you'll have 500+ RWHP so we can break the axels which won't be covered under warranty. Just what I've read........
