I'm interested in putting a set on my ZR-1 if the backspacing works out.

They will probably fit a non-tubbed C5 too, they'll just stick out of the fender.

Those fender flares on the C6 Z06 are there for a reason.

The stock C6 rear offset (79mm, 19x10) is quite a bit more than C5 wheels were, so although they do fit a C5, that high offset tucks them into the fenders a lot. Spacers should really be used to make them look right on a C5.

Adding 2" of width to create the Z06 wheels, and adding 2" of flare to the fenders, kind of suggests the additional width of the Z06 wheel was all placed outboard the hub, and from that, I'd estimate the offset of the 19x12 at approx 54mm.
This would keep the same backspace dimension (8.6") as the coupe/vert's 19x10 wheel.

I'd be interested too if anyone knows the real spec.

you may not have answered my question but you have given me some helpful info i.e. exact C6 rear wheel offset which is a good start.

for a proper fit on a tubbed C5, the back space on a 12" wide wheel needs to be 9.5 - 9.8" depending if one is using an 18 or 19" diameter wheel. keeping in mind that the upper control arm is the critical clearence point.

the minimum backspace needed for a tubbed C5 where you wont hit the outer upper wheel well lip is 9 3/8" so if its going to stick out more than that, im out.

one last point is that although the new Z is 3" wider in the back, the rear wheels are far from being flush with that width. compared to the widest part of the car (upper wheel well lip) they are 1" sunken in

The problem you will run into is NOT inner clearance, you have plenty of that.

The problem you will have is they will stick out of your fenders.

So, considering that, your main concern should be the front spacing...the hub surface to the fender edge. Unless you add wider fenders, your tub job makes no difference on what will stick out or won't.

Keeping in mind a 12" wheel measures 13" wide overall and the backspace dimension includes that extra 1/2" of inner lip...ie: a 12" wheel with 9.5" backspace = 3.5" front space = 13" overall, so your backspace dimensions are correct.

On a C5 rear, that max frontspace distance (hub to fender edge) is about 3.5", Any more than that and they WILL stick out of the stock fenders, this is not a "what if", it's a fixed dimension.

My estimates would put the frontspace dimension of the rear C6 Zo6 wheel at about 4.4" frontspace, which would put the outside edge of the wheel nearly 1" out of the C5 fender. It could be slightly less, this is just my estimation...but regardless, they will stick out some, that is a sure bet.

Hope that makes sense.

your assumption about a 4.4" front space is questionable simply because as i stated at the end of my last post, the Z wheels are not flush with the 3" wider body work. they look 1" sunken in

each wheel is 2" wider so if indeed all that extra width was added to the outside of the wheels, you're looking at 4" total and 3" wider body which would give the wheels a very aggressive offset. BUT, the wheels look as if they sit in an inch in the rear.

that is why i have some hope that they have added to inside of wheel too

You raise good points, and I could well be wrong in my estimation.

If anyone happens to know the rear track dimension of the Z06, it would definitely help in figuring it out...I can't seem to find that dimension posted anywhere.

I read that the rear upper control arms of the Z06 are different than the coupe and vert. Wonder if there's more clearance?

The replica C6 Z06 wheels some forum vendors are selling have a backspace of 57mm front (18X9.5) and 64mm rear (19X11). They just fit in the wheel wells of a non-Z C6.

While not the exact data you're looking for, couldn't see how it could hurt.
