Marvels Mystery Oil
Has anyone actually ever used Marvels? I’ve been told by some older gentleman that I should add some to help clean out the gunk and stuff from my engine but idk if I should believe him or not… so can anyone say he has a point or don’t even bother trying it. If so should I add some then do the oil change after a certain time?

Also, I'm not even sure that MMO will play nice with current synthetic oils. They may have changed the formulation.

Ditto, was good when using the old Dino oils, since they would crude and some even had paraffin wax that would cause baked on deposits, and such help to slowly deresolve them away that the detergent in the oil may have not instead.
With the current synthinc oils, and doing oil changes as needed, you don't end up with the above deposits in the first place.
Hence about the only place that I would suggest that somoene used marvel oil in a C6, was if someone was not doing oil changes as required on the motor, and say had a lot of build up in the lifters that needed to be cleaned out quicker then the synthetic oil would do on its own.

Its a good additive to add to your gas as it can help to keep the fuel system in good condition and lubricated. But it's not necessary.
If you are going to change your oil and wanted to "clean" the internals of the engine, I would use LiquiMoly Pro-Line Engine Flush. You add it right before an oil change. You add it to the oil, bring the engine up to temp, and let the car idle for about 15 minutes. Then do the oil change.

I've used MMO in my high mileage daily driver to quiet a lifter tick. I added one quart of it when I did the oil change and it did the trick.
Not sure I would use it on the C6.

Probably not a good idea to add to gas with cats, unless you add a small amount, like maybe 4oz. to a fillup. I added 4oz. to a fillup, and about 8oz. to the sump. I've used it twice in the last 2 years. I suppose it could also cause issues with O2 sensors, if used in gas in larger quantities....

Marvel - no “s” lol sorry it bothers me, kinda like when ppl spell Mobil1 as Mobile…
anyway I’ve always heard good things about it. I have used it several times on a couple different cars, pouring it into the crankcase prior to an oil change. Unless your motor is gummed up or have alot of carbon build up I don’t think there’s really any benefit to using it.
